Positioning

Positioning is not just about carving out your product to a particular demographic. Positioning is not just about selling your product to a particular age, group, economic status, and the like.

Positioning is how you build up the value of your brand or product. A brand has an image that is perceived by your clients or customers and competitors among others.

With positioning, you combine a variety of elements. You integrate the brand identity, value, profile and everything else to work with strengths and uniqueness of your products, according to your clients point of view.

This is the perspective that you want to build on. This is what you should communicate in your direct mail postcards when speaking to your potential buyers and target market.

Achieve this better by concentrating on your competitive advantage or strengths.

Direct Mail Postcards

Direct mail postcards can duly serve as your tool to help you connect better with your target market. Through this medium, you can weave your message into your desired package and according to your plans.

Here are some ways on how you can transform your direct mail into a strong marketing and communication device. Follow these tips and see how you can turn your text and design around.

1. Understatement

Know the value of subtlety. Remember, positioning is not about being hard-pressed to win over your clients. Be in the shoes of your clients and see you how you could align your message according to the values they have attached to your products and build on that.

2. Do not patronize your clients.

Consumers may be finicky but they know what or which products to trust. Give out useful information that your clients need to know.

3. Present your postcards with the Ideal Vector

The ideal vector is the combined attributes which your target market looks for in your company or products image, so you need to research on this. These desirable attributes may be your products reliability, fast-acting solutions, practical-everyday use and so on.

4. Always print in high-quality.

Always communicate a message that would demonstrate the quality of your products or services. This of course is done through quality printing. It never hurts to create an impression that you do not settle for anything less, so acquire the services of a professional printing company. In return, your own clients would expect nothing less of you.

Let direct mail postcards serve as your vehicle in accomplishing your strategies, your goals and objectives. Make this popular medium an effective tool for your positioning and marketing and win your market over.

Internet Marketing - Effective Methods

Every website, whether content-based or e-commerce-based, needs a constant stream of traffic to sustain its web presence. Internet marketing refers to the process of making that happen. This can be in the form of Internet marketing ads, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), article submission, Web 2.0 strategies, publishing ezines, etc. Here is a small peek into some of the most effective methods of Internet marketing:

1. Search Engine Marketing: There are two types of search engine marketing techniques - Internet marketing ads (or pay-per-click (PPC) ads) and SEO. PPC ads, or Internet marketing ads on search engines, are ads that appear in columns and rows (marked as "Sponsored Links") when a search engine results page throws up the search results. Advertisers have to pay for these Internet marketing ads on a per-click basis, which is why they are popularly known as pay-per-click ads. This means that anytime a surfer on a search engine clicks their ad, a pre-determined amount will be deducted from the deposit they have made to the search engine. Statistics say that about 3-5% of people who click on ads are converted to customers, so calculations must be made well before bidding for PPC keywords. SEO is a technique by which a website's content is tailored in such a way that it contains the most important keywords (or search terms) relevant to the site. The result is that when a surfer is searching for a keyword, he is directed to the website, and so it becomes the goal of every website owner to keyword-optimize his content in such a way that his site appears on the first search engine results page. This is a relatively inexpensive technique and very effective too.

2. Article Submission Marketing: There are a host of reprint directories on the Internet that accept articles, which are then "borrowed" by other web publishers and published on their website. A small resource box is placed at the end of each article that has to be published. This box gives the credit due to the writer and mentions his site address. Apart from the regular Internet marketing ads, this is another great way to publicize your website. All a website owner needs to do is create effective content and write a snazzy resource box at the end and submit the article to reprint directories, and hey presto, the article will send traffic from all over the web. Similarly, a website owner can post messages on bulletin boards and leave his website's link in his signature.

3. Ezine Publishing: Many website owners publish ezines and give them away free to subscribers and in the process collect a database of subscribers. For an ezine to succeed as well as an Internet marketing ad, it must contain compelling content. Also, the whole story must not be included in the email that is sent to the subscriber - only a small teaser must appear, inviting the subscriber to click on the link to know more.

4. Web 2.0 Strategies: Blogs and RSS ("RDF Site Summary", popularly known as "Really Simple Syndication") feeds are the new Internet marketing kids on the block. Website owners set up blogs, where they post trivia and articles of general interest, inviting surfers to leave their comments and visit their website. They also offer RSS feeds where surfers can view streaming content by using special RSS-reading software. If they see anything of interest, they click on the link to read the whole story.

5. Banner exchange: There are banner exchanges marketing companies where website owners swap banner space with other websites, without any charge. However, this method of Internet marketing is fast losing its punch and is almost on the way out, because every website owner prefers to publish search engine Internet marketing ads that pay on per click basis.

These are some of the Internet marketing methods that are in vogue today. For more information click on the link given below.

Effective Marketing and Advertising Borne Out Of Better Understanding!

In these days of internet marketing and ecommerce it is some what difficult for many online marketers to really know the difference between marketing and advertising. But for a business marketing online it is crucial to know what these two terms really are so as to effectively apply them to ones benefit.

Although Marketing and Advertising sound similar but in reality they are not. Advertising is only a part of the bigger game called Marketing. While marketing encompasses complete conceptualization of a brand right from research to designing to advertising and sale, advertising, on the other hand, is a component of the marketing process.

Advertising is nothing but conveying the message through variety of mediums to promote the product.

Advertising is one of the most important component of a marketing strategy and also the most expensive. Advertising constitutes sending the message across to the public about your company, product or service.

For advertising to achieve it's purpose there are processes to be followed. These include formation of various strategies and of course coming up with a right one to target your prospects.

Some of the strategies you will need to take care of consist planning things like:

>>> Placing ads

>>> Deciding what media to use

>>> Deciding on the timing

>>> Deciding on the frequency, etc.

As an online marketer your primary medium of advertising is of course the internet. However, mediums like the television, snail mail, newspapers, radio, magazines, mobile messaging, flyers, billboards etc. can also be used in advertising your business.

To better understand the difference between advertising and marketing simply consider marketing as a cake, cut that cake into pieces. Advertising is one of the pieces of that cake. The other pieces of the cake are market research of your product, product design, media planning, PR, product pricing, customer satisfaction, customer support, sales and many more.

When marketing online, all these components or pieces of the cake should work independently but collectively in achieving your bigger goal i.e. sell your product(s) and build your company's reputation in the market.

Marketing is a marathon process involving many tasks which takes hours, sometimes days of research. The market research part takes the longest duration as it involves thoroughly understanding the behavior of people towards a product. But trying to avoid the research part of marketing because of the time involve will not help in any way. Designing the product and developing advertising strategy is also a time consuming process.

The mistake most small businesses online make is confusing advertising with marketing. They try to ape big companies like Coke and Pepsi in advertising but they simply ignore the work that goes behind that. The classical example of this is, take the case of logo advertising for instance. Many business owners are so hysterical about their logo because they think that it will simply bring in the sales. But the secret of logo advertising and why it works is none other than the reputation of the company. Companies spend fortunes on advertising which a new start up business or a small business online can't.

The better option for a small business is investing money and time in communicating to the consumers in a way that they can address their expectations. And this is most effective in marketing online since the internet is about information. Besides, educating the consumers also helps as it will give them an understanding that you know what you do and are best at doing that.

If your desire therefore is to market profitably online then you must be smart and aggressive in your approach rather than passive. Understand the whole picture of your marketing campaign. Provide information and educate your potential customers. Learn also how to provoke reader's minds by prompting them to do something rather than just making them knowledgeable of the product. Having a good marketing campaign speaks a lot about your business and your products. And advertising gives that finishing touch to the hard work you have done in selling your products.

Strategic Internet Marketing - How I Started From Scratch With A Simple Business Plan!

What is strategic Internet marketing? It's a way to grow your online business with a long term plan. You need to have a clear vision from the beginning. Where do you want to be after five years? Do you want to take care of your business or do you want it to take care about you?

I think the second option is that you want. Instead of working in your business, you need to take care of the general vision. I learned from Brad Fallon that it is one the only three things a business owner should do.

Let's take my own example. The first part of my strategic Internet marketing plan was to start with free resources and tools because I was on a budget. I couldn't pay for advertising, and even paying $8 a month for web hosting was difficult for me two years ago. I decided to start my online business career with affiliate marketing.

That was the first part of my plan. I carefully selected affiliate products proven to convert visitors into sales and I quickly started to make money.

I started with article marketing and forums because these are two low cost ways to generate targeted traffic to your website.

I then decided to start with safelists and traffic exchanges sites. After two months, I realized that the return in terms of subscribers and sales wasn't worth my time. I continued to submit articles because I was making sales and capturing leads into my autoresponder.

From this time, my goal was to develop my very own products. That's why I was building my list of loyal subscribers. I knew that when I am ready to launch my own product, I would be able to get sales right away with a list.

I forgot to say that I started with a blogger blog because it was free. I started with a free domain at tripod.com and bravenet.com. I also had a free autoresponder web based software with sendfree.com and get response.

When I started to earn $300 per month consistently, I immediatly got all the paid tools to go further in my business. I got a web hosting, I registered my domain and immediatly switched to wordpress blogs.

I was setting up the foundations for my online business.

Another element of my success is the fact that I got a coach because every successful mind has a mentor.

Making Money From Articles The Secrets Revealed!

Were going to throw away all the SEO mumbo jumbo youve learnt else where about high PRs, backlinks, and keyword density. Youre only concerned about getting the clicks and the sales.

This is going to be short so listen up! Youll only be submitting to 3 article directories GoArticles, EzineArticles and SearchWarp. Forget about the rest.

Of course, Im assuming youve already have a product in mind to promote and a direct (domain forwarding link) to the merchants site.

Remember NOT to use a direct affiliate link in your articles. Not only does it bring a low click-through rate, it is also not acceptable in most article directories. Heres the meat:

1. Search for a low competition keyword in your niche. This is relatively simple to do, simply fire up Overtures keyword suggestion tool. The magic numbers here to look out for are searches below 500.

2. Do a search on Google with the quotation marks wrapped around the search term. Say you found a phrase on Overture the best dog training tip in uk. Search for the very phrase with the quotation marks in Google.

Look under the results tab in the top right corner. Any number below 500 is good and would be highly optimization and profitable.

3. Find 5 other key phrases using the above method.

4. This is the important part. Write 5 different articles under each of the different phrases and it is crucial that you include the entire phrase into your title.

5. Submit the articles and youre done!

As you can see, this is a very easy model to follow and profit from. If done right in right niches, it can bring in an additional income stream for you!

Why Are You Writing Articles Anyway?

As a marketer, I have tried just about every type of marketing strategy available online (although I am guilty of keeping my ears out for innovative tips).

One key promotional tactic that I have used for over 5 years now would be - writing articles. I strongly encourage those with websites to try sitting down and pick a topic in their niche and write what they know about it.

You'll be amaze at how many times you will say to yourself boy that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. And you are right. I'm also going to state for the record that using PLR articles in the right way can be beneficial as well.

But let's get back to writing good articles that get read. Here's a question for you: Why should you write articles? And if you are already writing articles on a regular basis, the question should be, why are you writing articles anyway?

Why Are You Writing Articles Anyway?

When you get down to basics, articles should be written to inform people that you have something of value to read. It doesn't matter if you send your article to 600 directories and publishers, what good is it if they all turn you down?

Think about it. For your article to get noticed, it has to be read, right? And for it to be read, it has to be good in the sense that it's interesting, valuable or gives a solution to a problem someone currently has.

The next step is realizing the purpose of your article which is very important. What do you want? Do you want leads? Are you trying to optimize your website? Do you want to brand your name or web page name?

These are things you need to consider before writing your article. It's nice to think you'll get hundreds of links back to your website but will it really happen if you're writing or content stinks?

And you want to take special precautions if you're looking to brand yourself because to do this, you'll need to come across as an expert in your field of work or niche. So, make sure you know what you're talking about.

What Do Search Engines and Publishers Have In Common?

And when you think about it, search engines are not so different from publishers. How? Well, they both are looking for good, quality content to show their readers.

Don't fool yourself. There's big competition out there. They do not lack content since alot of people write. What they at times lack is quality content.

How can you take advantage of this problem and beat your competition hands down? Write with the reader in mind.

Write with the goal of helping them solve a problem that you perhaps had. Yes, writing from your own experiences can show the reader they're not alone out there. You can also share ideas and tips from other experts you respect.

Remember, the more people that actually read your articles, the better chance of them seeing your resource box at the bottom which if written properly, will grab their attention enough to get them to your website.

That should be your goal. Then and only then can you win their trust and eventually sell them on whatever you are marketing. By doing this, you're articles accomplish their goal and you'll gain wide exposure as an expert author.

Viral Marketing Strategies For Your Websites

Let the world know your name!! Viral Marketing bomb explodes the global world by exploiting the market and masses as a communication hub that encourages people to pass the marketing message. You need to capture the consumer market with your unique and powerful virus and spread using most powerful tool word-of-mouth.

Pass-it-on, self-replicating and self-generating, million eyeballs, explosive text, catalyst, market shrink are few very common terms associated with this terminology. What I have found is viral marketing is very difficult to start, very difficult to spread and even more difficult to achieve success. If it is a success you are maximizing with little investment else you may end up badly. There must be some solid reason for customers to help spread your word. Creating a qualitative content as well as enticing them by offering some incentives will be added benefit. Inserting a channel for communication as Hotmail reached its subscribers by having message of free email in the mail header itself proved to be a great tool for success. Other problem people often face over the internet are technical and technological problems; make sure your virus (viral message) has no sophistication associated, it is browser independent and do not require additional software, .exe or plug-ins, neither has attachment which may result that many visitors may not like to download, wait to run exe and thus may not see it. Privacy policy helps to push up the viral campaign (I am referring your piece of message as a virus in this article).

People attention and contribution has been the most precious spectrum behind internet growth. To draw people attention you need to have a very strong tool that will take your voice to masses. You need to make strategies that will take your business to heights, lock out your competitors through pricing models and by exploiting competitors' legacy distribution channel conflict. Viral advertising and viral marketing technique is one that utilizes the existing networks on the web to promote a piece of information globally to produce brand awareness through self replicating process. Idea is to take a piece of message and circulate it virally i.e. high pass along rate from person to person. It works like a chain reaction, large numbers of people receive the message and they forward this to large numbers of people, the more number of people receive it and then it becomes easier to spread the idea. If the pass-along numbers get too low, the overall growth quickly fizzles. Viral marketing depends on high-pass-along rate from person-to-person.

Some of the first recorded offline / online viral campaigns were developed by Tim Nolan of Spent2000.com fame circa 1996. By placing abstract pairings of catch-phrases, quotes, song lyrics and image mashups, Mr. Nolan developed a method of creating "buzz" around a URL based installation. Phrases like "This city isn't safe" placed along side a URL created curiosity enough in people's minds to remember a URL and visit again once they were online.

Hotmail is the best example of most successful viral marketing strategy over full life cycle. In 1996, a new product, free web based email was launched by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. 'Viral Marketing' catalyst was involved that would exponentially increase the rate of flow of information; nothing to do with virus but the growth is rapid like virus growth through word-of-mouth. Impact and results of viral marketing strategy over hotmail growth can be summarized as: most important is that Hotmail grew a subscriber base more rapidly than any other company in the world. Now, Hotmail is the largest email provider in the world. Exponential growth of subscribers; unprecedented source of personal information as almost subscribers filled up demographic and psychographic profile. Also, with expense close to $500K spent on branding, marketing, advertising and promotion, very less was spent in comparison to nearly 12 million users. It is not just spending money, but spending money in a smart way will work. Hot mail became email king at reduced cost, less expense using viral marketing catalyst. Hotmail viral message (free email services) message was involuntary and spread through word-of-mouth. The same strategy was adopted by Mirabilis; another example is dancing baby screen saver.

Viral Marketing, web marketing, web promotion and branding tool will help to have good start up even though the new entrants are under capitalized. Social community provides broad bandwidth of high frequency social interactions provides a powerful virus opportunity. Viral marketing strategy is to minimize the friction of market entry and proliferation.

Internet is the best language and tool that will help you make money online in least time in comparison to other marketing tools available. Remember, rapid growth is of no value without customer retention. I am sure right viral marketing and advertising strategy will create market value of the product or services in hand. It is the speed of thoughts that will determine your competitiveness in the market. With market shrink strategy, small companies can make big deals and can be a challenge for brand companies. Proven scalability is the dominating factor in the hyper growth industry. Spread the information analogous to spread of computer virus, major difference is virus spoils everything but viral marketing will take your business to heights.

At the height of B2C it seemed that every starting company had a viral strategy or a viral component, but the truth is that very few achieve success of great heights. Viral marketing is so powerful that it is worth many times more than the campaigning companies and its result are very fast.

Powerful Strategies To Becoming Successful With Video Marketing

Many of you may know me from the Little Guy Network, some of you may not. I'm Chris and I have been an online entrepreneur for about 12 months now. It was only 6 months ago out of the 12 months that I have been an online entrepreneur where I really started to experience success.

Where I was actually generating a decent income which was enough for me to quit my day job and focus on my online business full time. Everyday I absorb powerful information and knowledge and apply what I have learned to experience massive results.

Now if you do or do not know, the most powerful Web 2.0 marketing strategy to apply is video marketing. Video marketing is what will not only BRAND you but will generate you hordes of endless quality leads and traffic back to your online business.

So you can see how important video marketing is. I am going to provide you with some simple yet very effective tips that you should implement to help you become more effective and powerful when applying video marketing to your online business.

I know there is a lot of you out there that are camera shy or have difficulty making a video, you will either have a brain freeze in the middle of your video and you will also not know how to express your message across to your audience effectively.

Below are some tips that will help you destroy that shyness and become confident and a true leader when producing your own videos relating to your online business.

If you are in-experienced and don't know what to talk about in your videos then you can simply watch the already successful online marketers videos on how they express their messages across to their audience and you simply replicate this but before you actually go and make your video, it would be very wise to rehearse in front of a mirror a couple of time so you get used to looking at yourself and also looking straight ahead while delivering your message across to your targeted audience.

The next tip is a challenging one. Grow and develop with your videos, you videos do not have to be perfect. Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 5 Intriguing Methods to Jumpstart Your Article Marketing

If you are seriously thinking of using articles marketing to drive traffic to your site, pull up your search engine ranking, establish your expertise in your chosen field, and generate more income, you need to uncover these 5 intriguing methods so you can jumpstart your article marketing:

1. Make sure that you only submit original content. Copying somebody else's work in article marketing is a big no-no. This will not only tarnish your credibility online, but you will also be penalized by major search engines.

2. Target human emotions when writing your article. Instead of focusing your efforts on logical reasoning, touch your readers' emotions by pushing their buttons. How? If you are selling diet pills, focus on how weight gain affects the confidence and social life of your readers.

3. Keep your paragraphs shorter. Ideally, you should explain one idea on every paragraph. As a writer, you must be able to explain that idea in 4-5 sentences. You can easily do that by finding the most appropriate words to get your message across and eliminating fillers and fancy words to make your paragraph direct to the point and brief.

4. Provide your readers with useful information. Make sure that the content of your articles contain information that are highly relevant to your readers. If they are facing problems, be sure to offer solution. When you do this, online users will appreciate your writing and you will build a huge following in no time.

5. Make every word count. When you are using fillers and other unnecessary words on your articles, you are wasting your readers' precious time. To make your readers feel that you value their time, strike out words that do not help you in getting your message across.

Article Marketing - How Big of an Internet Foot Print or Web Presence Do You Want?

Article Marketing is a great way to create a massive presence on the internet. Each and every article that you write and submit to EzineArticles and other directories becomes just one more article agent working for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the internet.

So let me ask you a question. What happens when you type your name into Google or Yahoo? Are there pages of results with your name and information available? Or just a few?

The benefits of massive web presence

Here is an example for you. Many of my students and mentees are speakers. Let's say that great speaker number one and great speaker number two are fairly evenly matched in terms of skill, topic and price. And now Mr. or Ms. Program Director or Meeting Planner has to choose which one to hire.

When you type great speaker number one's name into the search engines, you get two or three results. When you type great speaker number two's name into Yahoo or Google, you get pages and pages of results, many of which are articles that great speaker number two has written and distributed across the internet.

Now which speaker do you think the meeting planner or program director is going to hire, everything else being close to equal? Of course they are going to hire great speaker number two because of the web presence the articles have provided.

Whether you are a speaker, author, coach, information publisher, whatever you are, the more articles you have working for you, the larger presence you are going to have on the internet.

Profitable List Building - Latest 6 Intermediate Methods to Impact Your List Building

One of the major keys in growing your online business is knowing how to build your own email marketing list. In this article, I will discuss the 7 intermediate methods that will help you build a strong, robust list to strengthen your email marketing campaigns.

1. Target market. Effectively identifying the people who are most likely to buy from you is the first step you need to take in building your list. By doing so, you can make your marketing efforts more targeted in getting these people to sign up.

2. Quantity over quality. Your might have huge number of subscribers but if these people are not interested on what you offer, you are only wasting your time on your marketing campaigns. That is why is it of outmost importance that you only attract those people who are interested on what you offer.

3. Make use of squeeze page. This is one of the most widely used list building tools that help webmasters "squeeze" contact information from online visitors who would like to receive further communication from the webmasters.

4. Verify registrations to avoid spam complaints. Send email to your new subscribers to verify their intention of receiving newsletters from you to combat spam complaints. You can easily do this through the use of autoresponder that automatically send confirmation email to anyone who subscribe to your list.

5. Make your sign-up form visible on your website and blog to make registrations much easier and hassle-free to your potential subscribers.

6. Avoid spamming. Never send unsolicited email messages to people who have not signify their interest in becoming a member of your list. Spamming is the easiest way to lose your online credibility that can greatly hurt your online business.

7 Low Cost No Cost Marketing Strategies

There are marketing strategies that you can use without burning a hole in your wallet. Yes, these are economical and affordable! Whether you have a small budget or no budget, these methods actually work! Why don't you try some of these tactics yourself?

a. Word of mouth: This has been an age old marketing tactic which is valid even today. It is also one of the most effective ways to propagate one's business. The word of mouth tactic is a great way to spread the word about your business from one person to another. As you find more and more people getting to know your business, you'll find that more traffic is visiting your site by the day. The best thing about this tactic is that it doesn't cost you a dime!

b. Controversies: Love them or hate them but you can't ignore them! If you ever saw some of the most popular celebrities you'll know why they stay in the limelight. You can use this tactic to generate tremendous publicity for your business. With controversial products or comments you can hope to remain in the spotlight for quite some time to come! The idea is to create a stir and shock value for your customers.

c. Giving out freebies: Another age old trick which many businesses have used to increase their business is by giving away freebies to customers. From mugs to T-shirts to bags to free information - all carry your brand with them! Make sure you have your website URL and contact details on these items. You can add freebies or free bonuses to your autoresponder emails. You can increase your database of customer contacts and send them promotional materials for future campaigns as well.

d. Columnist: If you notice, most of the top entrepreneurs always have something to talk about. You could be a regular columnist in a newspaper or magazine that deals with your unique niche. Try sticking to topics which are directly related to your own business. Once you start churning out content on a regular basis, you can expect to start being perceived as a subject matter expert. This will also establish a credibility and authority to your business.

e. Emotional content: No one likes to read pages of text with no relevance to their daily lives. So if you are writing an article or some promotional material for your business, make sure the content is on an emotional level. Article Marketing - Why Your Articles Will Never Make You One Red Cent

If you got into the Article Marketing business thinking that you would be paid for your articles then you are sadly mistaken. Unless you are running an article writing service or writing freelance your articles themselves will not earn you one red cent. This is a reality of this type of marketing campaign that you need to accept from day one.

What will earn you an income that you can be proud of is the internet business that you are promoting using article marketing as your advertising medium. When used to grow an internet business your articles become priceless.

Use your articles to create traffic to your website and once there convert your visitors into subscribers with a free product. All that you need to do is offer a desired product in exchange for the name and email address of your visitor. Once they have provided the required information they have then subscribed to your list, and we all know (or should know) that the real money in any internet marketing business is in the list. The process may be called article marketing, but in essence what we are really doing is building our list in order to develop a relationship with our visitors.

It is one thing to get a visitor to become a subscriber to your list, keeping them subscribed is the key. Do not simply bombard your subscribers with advertisement after advertisement. Continue to provide them with useful information. The nitty gritty of it is this. Your subscribers do not have to prove their worth to you, you must prove your continuing worth to them.

Take the time to develop a better relationship with your subscribers by offering them information without huge amounts of advertising. Doing this will create even more trust than you have previously established. If you take this small piece of advice I believe that you will find your list to be much more responsive.

The articles you write will not in themselves make you any money. Using the articles to generate highly qualified and responsive leads is the secret to Article Marketing.

Article Marketing - Is Article Marketing A Surefire Way To Make Money Online?

Article marketing is a very easy foolproof model to follow. There's so many article marketing models to follow online and many people's whole business model is transparent. Most people don't see this and remain blind to this. If you open your eyes and model someone (note, not copy someone! But model their business model), then you are suddenly in business!

Speaking of that, I do use a pseudo name for marketing articles in niche markets. Many other Internet marketers do that too. So if you don't want people to spy on your niche marketing, use a pseudo name.

Why do so many people write a few articles and then call it a day?

People see 5 views over 3 days and think their 30 minutes spent writing article was a complete waste of time.

The article goes on to get 100-200 views or even 1000+ views after a year or so. Multiply that by 100 articles, or even 1000 articles, and imagine the traffic.

Most people hate writing, would rather spend their money on 'quick fix' traffic rather than outsourcing, or just hate the thought of contributing to an article directory's content bank. The truth is, we rely on authority sites to get traffic! That's the way it works online.

If you hate writing (and that's the excuse I often hear), then outsource your articles! It's not difficult. You don't have to do everything yourself if you want to make it online. Find a good article writer at a good cost and get your army of articles out there.

Fast Article Marketing - Discover Creative Secrets to Advance with Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the most, if not the most used website and product promotional tool these days. Due to its proven effectiveness in traffic generation and augmenting sales and revenue, every marketer wants to excel in this field. If you are one of them, these creative secrets can greatly help you out:

1. Topics. When writing your articles, you have to keep in mind that one of your main objectives is selling your products. Thus, you have to choose topics that are highly relevant to what you are selling. Talk about the problems that you solve and offer your products as solutions. This is an effective way of building up your products and increasing your sales potential. For instance, if you are selling contact lenses, you can write about their advantages over wearing eye glasses.

2. Articles. Your articles are your most powerful tools in this marketing strategy. You need to make sure that they are all well-written, content-rich, scannable, short, direct to the point, and free from any kinds of errors to increase their chances of being read and widely republished online.

3. Quantity. You also need to pay attention to the number of your submissions as this is a crucial element in multiplying your inbound links. Strive to write and submit at least 7 articles per day to leading publishing sites. These are enough not only to strengthen your online presence and credibility but also to improve your page ranking.

4. Titles. Most of the articles that are left unopened are those which have lousy titles. People will surely not take interest on your content if your headlines are not well-written as they will automatically think that the quality of your articles is just the same as your titles. Don't let this happen by making sure that all your headlines are striking, attention-grabbing, intriguing, and communicate the readers' benefits.

Article Marketing for Real Writers: Launch Your Freelance Career!

Looking to build your freelance writing career but don't know where to begin? Maybe I can help.

Let's start with a perspective on web exposure and your business. You know you're a wonderful writer. You know you can provide flawless copy for any number of industries!

But does anyone else on the World Wide Web know?

Let's talk about page rank. If you have a website, how many visitors do you get per day? Have you ever typed your web link into the Alexa.com Page Rank calculator? If so, what came up? Was it 9,547,893, or something equally upsetting?

As you may know, the higher your page rank number, the LESS visitors you're receiving.

Example: Alexa pagerank of 1 is usually either Google, Hotmail or Yahoo (this vascillates daily). That means that these three websites alternately swap the title of Most Visited Website in the World. Think you can get your website up there, or even close?

Umm... no.

FACT: Not many writers with websites are getting much in the way of web visitors. Most are getting buried by the big dogs, or lost in Blogger land.

Recently, I tripped over a solution to significantly raise the amount of visitors to my site. Then after I tripped over it, it took me four entire months to fully grasp the concept.

Article Marketing can seriously improve your website rank, put your name out there in Internet Guru Land, and lure customers your way with scintillating copy that you include in your article!

For those who remain in the dark, article marketing is like exalted link distribution. It's a way to pass your link on to thousands of websites - but in this case, you're not just another anonymous link. Attached to your link will be a free sample of your work, and a way to contact you directly.

The Article M.O.: Write an article, attach your website link and a short bio, and then submit to an article distribution website. Publishers will then come along and add your work to their website content. Interested readers will click it, and then they're back on YOUR website, learning about You and What You Do.

Articles can MAKE YOU FAMOUS in your niche! How do you think the Adam Urbanskis, Ali Browns, Michel Fortins and Yanik Silvers of the web got where they are today?

The thing is: even if some of us writers have great-looking websites, they're ranking pretty low on the search engines. And if you don't even HAVE a website... well, you're nearly invisible.

But now turn this over in your mind: As a group, we could actively and significantly improve the situation.

The jist of it is: the more hits you get to ONE WEBSITE, the more each person's name gets out there to the right people and that means MORE PAID CONTRACTED JOBS.

So: if I have one website that features a tech writer, a psychology writer, a marketing writer, a children's writer, a novelist, etc...

And each of those writers is doing their part, writing articles to get exposure for their original work... That means that the hits will all come to the same place, the search engine rank will rocket skyward, and the contract work WILL FOLLOW.

I've been doing a ton of research on this web marketing thing for over 2 years now. I'm more than thrilled to offer web marketing guidance to the writing community; gentle, misunderstood souls that we are. But it won't be easy. If you want to make it happen, you have to work your hiney off, like I do. But once we catch fire... whew! Well, then we will be a force to be reckoned with!

Article Marketing - 3 Clandestine Tactics For Generating 300% More Traffic And Sales

Article marketing is a great source for free, residual traffic. You can use it to create real cash flow marketing your products or affiliate products.

First off, you must understand there are a few other less popular article sites that receive almost just as many visitors as the popular ones, such as some of the ones often mentioned in ebooks. I tend to make the most out of every article I have written so I submit to 4 to 6 of the best directories. Sometimes an article actually might receive more visitors on another less popular article directory because they don't get 'lost' in the potpourri of articles

Here's some article marketing tips you can use to fatten your bank account:

1) Sometimes when your article is submitted just before the weekend, it will have the whole weekend to get in that initial traffic.

2) Instead of linking directly to an affiliate site, build a list. Or at the very least, like you said, build a blog. And perhaps you can build a list from there.

Build your business, not just the merchant's. If you are not building a list, it's mostly short-term profits.

3) Keep it simple when outsourcing. The simpler your project sounds, the more bids you will get. Because the job will sound simple when you write it in simple form. There's not much copywriting involved, just plain English.

State how many articles you want, state the price you want per article (important) and accept nothing higher than that. I've had freelancers try to give me excuses to raise my prices (usually it's all about their problems), but don't accept it. You've got your return on investment to think about.

I use only 2 short lines for this and get more than 10 bids or more in just half a day.

Designing Product Pricing Strategies - Part 4

On International Market Pricing

The complexity of cost considerations are dependent of two factors: (1) firm characteristics and (2) export market characteristics. As the organization gives up the natural protection of its local market to expanding internationally, the unique environmental conditions will render pricing decisions complex.

Multinational enterprises formulate and implement international strategies to respond to pressure for both external flexibility and internal efficiencies. Uniformity and adaptation to local conditions and worldwide economies of scale. Being global maybe insufficient as becoming more transnational is likely to be more desirable. To pursue means to overcome the trade-offs associated with flexibilities and efficiencies derived form responsiveness and global integration.

Standardization does not depend on managerial discretion alone. Certain external and internal factors may limit the degree of standardization that a firm is able to apply. These are needed for mandatory adaptations to meet legislations, government regulations and inescapable and/or uncontrollable marketplace realities.

One of the drivers for internationalization is the Internet. However, it is not suitable for new task buying. It does allow skimming of foreign market but not penetration. Internationalization is supported because of speed of contact with lesser sunk costs in terms of setting up local representation.

Counter Trade

Equal consideration can be given to the advantages of counter trade in dealing with international exchanges. The product or service prices can be charged in kind to help: circumvent currency controls, conceal a price cut, free blocked funds, conserve hard currencies, reduce debt burdens, and make purchases without deteriorating balance of trade.

The success of a counter trade or barter is determined by the framework presented earlier. It considers the seller's marketing objective, seller's pricing strategy, buyer's marketing objective and buyer's pricing strategy.

Operating as a transnational offers many difficulties to the marketer. But Sellers charge and buyers pay at the going rate to establish long-term seller-buyer relationships, increase sales volume. Sellers sell at a discount to generate customer goodwill, use excessive production capacity, dispose of surplus products, gain entry into difficult markets, and access to marketing networks. Similarly, buyers will pay a premium to gain the above plus acquire badly needed technology and obtain access to critical sources of supplies.

Conclusion

Finally, we define strategy in the context of product and service pricing.

Strategy is basically a plan of action intended to achieve a certain goal. It is not just getting one foot in a company at whatever costs or is all about profit maximization. It is an elaborate "design of options" that is mixed to generate a desired result. Kotler's framework is an example of a pricing strategy. It is a framework for the creation of value.

The problem that burdens most organizations is the use of strategy. Planning and strategizing all relate to the desired goals. What you want to achieve tomorrow is made probable by working on the problems and solutions today. Any organization wants monetary gain. This is basic. Whether it is a for-profit manufacturer wanting to give the best returns to its stakeholders, or a non-profit service provider wanting to extend the best possible support to its beneficiaries, the bottom line is choosing the right marketing direction. The price that the organization sets for its product and service offerings will largely determine the achievement of their objectives.

We have presented the many strategies and policies that were used in studies in the last few years. Some are so new that they are not included in Kotler's book. Some were influenced by economic factors...but some were products of advances in technology and internet security. Ebay, Amazon, Yahoo - the shining example of cost efficiencies and embrace of innovation.

There are still more questions that needs to be understood and answered. This is perhaps how this article, as well as all current and future articles, by other authors will end. As we draw solutions we move to another level where there are more complex problems. That is the law of advancement.

Breakthrough Article Marketing - Announcing 3 Maximum Secrets to Breakthrough With Article Marketing

If you are one of the webmasters who do not have the money to spend on marketing campaigns and advertising cost but would like to create awareness among your target market that your website exists, you can utilize article marketing. It allows you to promote your website and products in a most efficient and cost-effective manner. Here are the 3 maximum secrets to breakthrough with article marketing:

1. Always consider your potential audience. Before you write your articles, determine if the information you will provide will suit your readers and if these will be helpful to them. Also, make sure that you use a writing style that they can easily identify with. Lastly, write as if you are talking to a friend so your readers will be at ease and will be able to easily understand what you are trying to get across.

2. Consider the requirements of publishing sites. To make sure that your articles will be accepted by major publishing sites, you need to follow their basic requirements. This includes; articles must not contain blatant advertisements or sales pitch, they must not contain inappropriate content, they must meet the minimum word count (which is usually at 250 words), and they must not have hyperlinks on the body. In addition, you must also be careful in using too many keywords because this may be viewed as keyword abuse.

3. Make use of keyword-rich and compelling titles. Did you know that thousands of quality articles are left unread because they do not have attention-grabbing titles? Remember, the first step in enticing your readers to pay attention to your articles is by using titles that will pique your target market's curiosity. Your titles must also be able to communicate the benefits that await the readers.

Article Marketing - Why Articles are Your Most Valuable Promotional Tool

On the Web, links are currency. The more links you have to your site, the more traffic you will get. Article marketing gives you a time-tested way to develop good links, and to increase the traffic to your site.

Article marketing has other benefits too: it reveals your expertise in your area, and over time, brands you as an authority. This builds the credibility of your site and your offerings.

So you can use article marketing in two ways: to develop links to your site, and to increase your credibility online.

But first, let's establish what "article marketing" is. Article marketing is essentially a form of advertising - a site owner writes short articles related to their business as a form of promotion.

Links are vital online, and article marketing helps you to get links

Let's say you and your competitor have two similar sites, with roughly the same number of pages, and good content throughout each of your sites. However, your competitor always shows up in the first ten results on the Search Engine Results pages (SERPs) for your primary keywords.

What's happening here?

Invariably, your competitor's site has more backlinks - more links which point to his site. The search engines, especially Google, take the number of backlinks into account when deciding which site has more authority, and the most authoritative sites are always returned first in the search engines' query results.

Is your site credible?

When someone finds your site, at the back of his mind is a single question: "How credible is this site?"

Credibility and trust are vital issues online, especially if you're selling from your site. Your site's visitors must know that they can trust you.

Article marketing helps to establish trust. Write articles in your field, promote the articles on article directories, and you will become an authority in your field, if those articles are useful.

So if you're considering article marketing as a form of promotion, don't hesitate. It gives you a lot of bang for a small amount of time invested.

When you consider that your articles will work for you year after year, and compare this with the ephemeral nature of advertising, article marketing is a great investment of your time and energy.

Adsense and Pay Per Click For Writers - Exchanging Words For Dollars

What is the main goal of every writer? Ask this question of one thousand writers and chances are strong that the overwhelming response will be: "To get published." I'm here to tell you that all of these writers are wrong. Here's why. If these polled writers were pressed further, I'd bet that they want to get published because that would get them to the real goal...Getting paid.

How many authors would agree to a publishing deal that offered no money? Would you? I thought not.

So, let's skip the publishing deal, and get you paid. We'll save the publishing thing until you're making a few dollars and generating consistent income from your writing. We've all done our share of research. Even when writing fiction, research comes into play and gives your writing a richer feel .You get depth and layers. But, this isn't a course on how to, or the benefits of, research. You'll need to know all of that to continue.

Think of Google as a publisher that will pay you to research a topic, and develop a web site with relevant quality content on that topic. You're also free to pick any topic you want. Once you write five to ten pages on the topic, all you do to get paid from Google is add some code to the pages from Google's AdSense site. If you don't already have an account, you will have to take the two minutes it takes to apply for one.

After inserting the code, when you post your pages to the web; they will display ads geared towards the topic you wrote about. Ads that will be targeted to, and of interest, to people who will visit your pages.

The AdSense ads aren't typical ads, meaning that no one needs to buy anything for you to get paid. They are Pay Per Click ads. You get paid every time someone clicks on the ad whether they buy something or not.

It's a great concept that writers just like yourself are using to build six figure incomes by building several sites. Once the initial work is done, the income is residual. The possible money to be made from dedicated writers is staggering. I've seen, and am, living proof of the power of this process. By employing these simple tactics, my online income has exceeded my offline writing income, and the online income continues to grow every month whether I work at it or not.

So, here's to you not getting published. Let me be the first to congratulate you.

Ray Mardo owns and operates various websites that employ pay per click monetization. An example can be found at http://raymardo.com/dj-insurance.html

Powerful Article Marketing - Discover 5 Hidden Secrets to Improve Your Article Marketing

Article marketing, or the process of writing and distributing articles online, is an inexpensive but effective marketing strategy being used by millions of webmasters to augment their website traffic, secure good page ranking, generate more online revenue, and establish their names as an authority in their chosen field.

Here are the 5 hidden secrets to improve your article marketing:

1. Identify and establish your objectives. When you know what you want to accomplish, you can easily adjust your marketing efforts to meet those objectives. For instance, if you want 10,000 additional page views on a daily basis, you wouldn't want to settle for one article per day, would you?

2. Consider your potential readers when writing your content. Every word and information that you will present on your articles must be targeted to their demands. Learn their preferences, needs, and problems so you can effectively meet those on your content.

3. Carefully choose your topics. If you want to drive targeted traffic to your website, you must write about topics that are being looked for by your target market. Write about your products, services, business, or other topics that are highly relevant to your industry.

4. Pick the best article submission sites. Manually submitting your articles can be exhausting and time-consuming, but your efforts will pay off if you choose publishing sites that are highly visited and have higher page ranking. These sites can give your articles maximum exposure and they can also increase their chances of being read and republished.

5. Steer clear from using idioms and clich's. Avoid making your articles sound like any other article on the internet. Strive to fill your articles with content that are fresh and relatively new to your readers' eyes.

Bridge the Article Marketing Gap - Reconciling Two Theories of Article Marketing

Article marketing should be an energetic and highly utilized part of any web-business strategy. The two primary ideologies of article distribution - wide array mass-distribution versus focused, small-scale distribution - seem at first to be irreconcilable. However, bringing the two methods together can multiply web traffic by exploiting the best aspects of each, so you can have your cake and eat it, too.

Conservative Distribution Theory

Recently, the most widely accepted theory of article marketing has been to use a focused technique of distributing articles to a handful of quality article directories. The primary reason this method became popular was that search engines began downgrading or penalizing websites that consisted of duplicate content. The search engines had good reason for that. It is not fair to rank cut-and-paste content the same as content created by the hand and mind of dedicated, interested people. The down side of that change of policy is that those of us who wanted to spread our homemade articles out to numerous sources found that our hard work was suddenly viewed less positively. The result was that the good, ethical article marketers set to work writing more articles and distributing them to ten or fifteen highly ranked article directories, while the black-hat guys searched for new dastardly schemes.

The benefits of the new rules were twofold:

1) Instead of spreading a few articles over a very wide area, we were creating more articles on our topics, which helped to bolster our image as experts in our field. Even if we got a bit less traffic, the traffic we did get was of a much higher quality.
2) Submitting to fewer directories meant that we could focus on getting our articles into the proper categories on the higher tier article directories. Once again, this seemed to result in better traffic.

Liberal Distribution Theory

This technique evolved quite naturally from the early days of internet marketing. As soon as we were capable, of course we submitted our articles to as many directories as possible. The more links we had floating out there, the more traffic we received. Much of that traffic was of lower quality, but that was not as important. As long as our servers could take it, we wanted it.

The benefits of the old way were, coincidentally, also twofold:

1) We were able to cast a much wider net. We could throw out the garbage and the small fish, and we kept only the fish we wanted. (I know it is a hackneyed metaphor, but it is true.)
2) With the advent of automated mass-distribution technology, we could get our message and our links out there with one click of the mouse. Maybe our articles were not always placed in the best category, but there were so many instances of our work on the internet that it did not drastically affect our results.

Then, in a story that seems to keep repeating itself, the spammers ruined it for everyone. Of course, they only ruined the easiness of article marketing, not the effectiveness. I must reiterate that these conditions forced us to work harder, which led to our increased knowledge, which then led to our being even better in our niches. Take that, spammers.

The New, Centrist Distribution Theory

Very simply, this is a combination of the two previously described theories. This method was created because although search engines downgrade duplicate content, they do not discount it entirely. If an article marketer today were to use mass-distribution alone, his work would not draw traffic to the level it would have a few years ago. However, his net would still be cast wide, with little effort required after writing the article.

It is now becoming clear that these two techniques can coexist. The trick is to find the right blend.

Some very successful article marketers use mass-distribution services for ten to thirty percent of the articles they write. The rest are submitted by hand (though there are software programs that can simplify this process) to specific categories in article directories that publish high quality, original content. This gives them two nets - one wide net and one deep net. They get long-lasting backlinks that bring them targeted traffic from the manual submissions, and they get volume from the mass-distribution.

The last remaining task is one that never actually ends. Successful article marketers never stop experimenting with which articles to mass-distribute, and with how many to mass-distribute. Start your campaign today, and watch your traffic skyrocket in a few short months.
