Breakthrough Article Marketing - Latest 5 Big Methods to Excel with Article Marketing

Compare to other paid advertising tools like PPC advertising and banner ads, article marketing can offer you with long term benefits. When you submit your articles to publishing sites, they will be posted there permanently. That means, they can be accessed over and over again and can still bring you quality traffic for many years to come.

1. Kick-start your articles with striking titles. The first step that you need to take in order for your articles to get noticed is to give them titles that can easily grab online users' attention. They must be interesting and intriguing enough to compel people online to invest their time in reading you content.

2. Bank on your first paragraph. Learn how to hold the interest of your readers to make sure that they will not close your articles until they click on your resource box by making your first 100 words interesting and equally attention-grabbing. Spill the most important information on this part and present a "hook" that will lead your readers to read your articles in their entirety.

3. Offer valuable and useful information. To keep your readers satisfied and to increase the chances of your resource box being clicked, make sure that your articles can offer your readers with information that they can use to either resolve their pressing issues or increase their skill level so they will be empowered to do amazing things on their own.

4. Keep your articles short. When writing articles for the web, it is crucial to understand that you are a serving an audience with limited attention span and people who do not have the luxury of time to spend hours reading articles online. Thus, you must strive to keep your articles short so you can offer them the information they need without wasting their precious time. You can cut on the number of your words by not beating around the bush and by eliminating fillers and fancy words from your content.

5. Use a compelling resource box. To end your articles with high note, use an amazing resource box that can easily convince your readers to check on your website. It must contain an exciting elevator pitch and a powerful call to action along with other crucial information.

Article Marketing Secrets - How to Deliver Great Content Without Sounding Like You Are Selling

Q: How do you balance giving content without sounding salesy?

A: Great question. First, let's remove some of the fear, because when you do it the way I teach you won't come off as salesy. You'll come off as helpful and encouraging, which is what you want to do.

Here's some background as to what I'm going to say. If you have a message in you that can be of help to other people, not only do you have the right to get it out there, I believe you have the obligation to get it out there to help people.

I take that notion even a step further. Not only do you have the obligation to get it out there to help people, you also have the obligation to profit from it. What? How can you have an obligation to profit from it?

Here's why. If you have an obligation to get your message out there, in order to do that you have to stay in business, right? In order to stay in business you have to pay your bills. In order to pay your bills you have to profit.

The formula

Here's the formula. You lead with content and you promote with passion.

So if you're delivering good content and you're passionate about what you're doing, that's going to come across.

In your article lead with great quality content. Then in your resource box you promote with passion. You do this by inviting the reader back to your website or blog for more great quality information.

Article Marketing Expensive Mistakes and How to Solve Them

You may be writing and submitting articles and not feeling it's successful. Take it from a pro who has walked this talk for six years successfully. When you look at simple mistakes you are making, you can also solve them with just a little tweaking. Remember, article marketing is still the best way to get a lot of targeted traffic to your web site, and increase clients and product sales to match.

Pay attention to these mistakes and their solutions.

1. You don't submit enough articles to get big profits..

Just one or two or 10 articles won't do the trick. Dabbling won't get the results you want. You need to market with articles consistently--one every week to many directories and top rated web sites. It takes only an hour to write a good article and two hours a week to submit them. My return on $200 monthly expenses is 8-20 times as much Online income.

2. You don't pay attention to Google and other internet changes.

At one time we submitted five articles at a time to all the article directories on the same day, thinking we were streamlining our submissions. But Internet rules and games change often and today search engines like the drip system of submitting articles instead of the mass approach. That means write one article a week and submit that one to the top rated web sites and about 70-100 others once a week. Six years ago we submitted to yahoo group ezines, but find the rules make it too much work to succeed, so we turned to hand-submitting only to high-traffic web sites and article directories who accepted all we gave them.

They even confirm your published article by email.

3. You don't know the value of article marketing.

You may have tried Search Engine Optimization (SEO). From my experience, the cost was high even with a techie friend's discount. And not one sale! Like me, you aren't a techie and you're not a key word specialist. That means stick to what you know--your subject!

Your service or books educate others on the value of a particular skill or tool or other needed information. It's easy to take what you already know and put it into shorter bites for your hungry Online audience that wants free information. Your free articles are the Law of Attraction in action. They attract the right audience to your web site where your sales letters do the job of selling you.

4. You resist article marketing because you don't think you can write well enough.

One stress management consultant client claimed she couldn't get 400-800 words written. "How about 100?" She replied, "OK." Her mind resisted, she took a nap and finally got an article out. Her thoughts could be yours. "I write much better than I thought." It was easy to write 400 words using a client's problem and my solution. I had it in my files already." "I leveraged the one audience of speakers to other businesses and got four articles from just one."

5. You believe you can't get enough ideas for articles.

Say you wrote six and wonder where more can come from.

Light up your muse with other peoples' articles. Copy and paste into your "articles to edit" folder with a date. Then take a few key words and use them to kick start your muse. It's far easier to start with some words on a page to add to than face a blank page. Another way to expand one article is to change your audience it's aimed at. Then, if it's seven points, make one article a # one tip, another, 3 points an another 5 or 10 how to's.

Visit your competitors' web site and get ideas from them.

6. You don't play all the opportunities.

Submit your article to other's ezine in your field. Keep some of your articles on your web site to attract new visitors. They love free content and do the search engines. Get a book author to include a few of your articles to further get the word out.

7. Your article quality is poor. Without a pro edit and information on the correct format and style, you articles won't be picked up by other web sites. Check for fluff. Don't' waste time redoing them; do them right the first time. Get a writing coach specializing in articles and hand submitting article marketing for feedback to make your skills grow.

8. Your article is commercial. The rule is no touting your book or your web site. Article directories want useful, original information, so save the pitch for your web site sales letters for each product or service.

9. Your resource box is too long. Know that most article directories want this under 300 characters. Once we changed the resource box to 300 characters, added a free gift for coming to the Web site, and put only one live link in it, our numbers of links back to our site exploded. This is one mistake often overlooked by new article marketers because they want to pitch all of their things. . 10. You get discouraged and quit. Like all good things, you need a bit of solid information first to get you there. Read short eBooks on advanced article marketing. Take a teleseminar from an experienced article marketer. It's not like the millionaire Internet marketing programs that give lots of general information, but not enough on articles. That's because they only want to sell, not educate.

You can now get your web site in the first 10 pages and get the web site sales you've dreamed of. Just take a little time, get educated, submit regularly, and let your articles show you off as the savvy expert in your field. Article marketing is still # 1 in internet marketing.

Sean Mize - Underground Article Marketing Excellence Part 2

As a List Building Superstars (LBS) speaker, Sean Mize stuck to the same straight-ahead approach that he uses in his own e-mail correspondence, sales letters, and teleseminars. A style undoubtedly welcomed by listeners often jaded by fast-talking self-promoters.

Sean's Three Strategies for Generating Article Marketing Content.

1. Volume, Volume, VOLUME!

Mize is unwavering in his call for large quantities of quality articles that merit placement in the best e-zines. Therefore, set aside 2-3 hours for uninterrupted writing every day, plus another 2-3 hours for article submissions to the directories.

2. Adding Back Links through Article Submissions.

By tracking purchases of his information products, Sean discovered that traffic generated through articles converted best. So, the message is clear - give motivated readers the information they seek, and they are more likely to become buyers and repeat customers. Like many marketers, Mize uses free giveaway reports to attract list subscribers.

3. Stick to the Basics.

Sean Mize's formula for article marketing success is simple: Produce 20 original articles weekly, and have the patience to let them percolate up the directory and search engine rankings. Mize is definitely anti-Private Label Rights (PLR). He opposes reused and slightly altered content on the grounds that they do not work for the reader nor the marketer looking for traffic. Search engines flag duplicate articles, and consequently do not rank them.

Even if they did work, it would be an unfair manipulation of search engine rankings. The articles most likely would be poorly written, aimed at robots instead of human beings.

Words of Caution...

Sean noted that expanding broadband technology is making it harder for Internet Marketers to capture, hold, and retain a prospect's attention. There is a lot of readily-accessible stimuli (i.e. audio, video, graphics, podcasts, etc.) and users no longer have to wait for one download before moving on to the next thing. So, offer incentives for users to opt-in to your list, even at the risk of attracting too many "tire-clickers".

Article marketing is definitely not for everyone. Experience shows that only a small percentage of people have the discipline to carry out such a "ruthless" writing campaign and make it succeed. Furthermore, marketers who crave speed probably have a skill set oriented towards other areas (e.g. Pay-per-Click (PPC)).

Mize suggests that we get to know potential joint venture (JV) partners as people first before making a commitment, article marketing-related or otherwise. Also, be selective about what affiliate products and programs to promote. Affiliate marketing, by definition, removes a lot of personal risk. However, your reputation will be determined by the recommendations you make to subscribers.

What it Really Takes...

Writing-oriented marketers should welcome the idea that you can succeed online without state-of-the-art graphics, a killer app, or a significant advertising budget.

However, the amount of articles demanded by Mize's formula for success raises some questions:

1. What role should "ghostwriting", i.e. paying someone to write original articles for you, play for a serious article marketer?

2. Does Sean personally use services like elance and getafreelancer? If so, what percentage of his articles are "ghost-written"?

3. Can you really control the originality and quality of outsourced writing? Is it really any better than PLR articles?

This is the age of globalization, and outsourcing is a fact of life in all fields including Internet Marketing. At the very least, even prolific authors need to consider the ghostwriting option and its implications.

Conclusion.

Sean Mize is an articulate speaker who is quite direct about why he is successful. His online business tactics are transparent, and neatly tie together all three core Internet skills:

Traffic generation through article marketing to build a monetizable opt-in list that is ready, willing, and able to purchase information products...

4 Questions You Should Ask Your Potential SEO Firm Before Hiring Them

You have decided that hiring an SEO firm is a good idea for your website and your company, but around every corner is a firm, or individual, pretending to know all there is know on the subject. There are scams, black hat practices and frauds everywhere. It seems as if there are more of those than of genuine SEO experts.

How can you tell the difference? The answer is simple. Ask the hard questions and gauge their answers.

What type of Search Campaign does your firm prefer?

Ask the company if they do Paid Search or Natural Search optimization. The major differences are, a paid search should include a huge variety of key phrases, even numbering into the hundreds. A Natural Search is much narrower and focuses on a small number of effective key phrases. Your SEO firm should be able to do to both.

The SEO firm will set up a Paid Search campaign to gauge which keywords or phrases are targeted the most as regards your site and then they will focus their efforts on those select keywords or phrases for the Natural Search campaign.

Unfortunately, many times, firms skip the Paid Search Campaign because it is more profitable for them. In a Paid Search Campaign, much of the client's money will go to Google or Yahoo to pay for the campaign, leaving little for the firm, itself.

The only time a firm should skip the Paid Search phase is if the client's site is a narrow niche that has only a few, well targeted keywords or phrases that are appropriate to that site.

Not only should the potential firm be willing to perform both tasks, they need to make certain that the keyword or key phrase campaign is in keeping with the goals of the website. If the client's goal it to generate leads, then the keywords and phrases should reflect that goal. If the client's goal is to generate sales, the campaign should keep that in mind.

Does your firm perform SEO copy writing?

SEO copy writing is the creation of website content that is written to attract the attention of search engines. If you have seen a site with a phrase that is repeated over and over, you have likely seen a page that has been created by an SEO specialist.

The downside is these pages do not go over well with humans.

The key is finding a happy medium, which is keeping your keyword and/or phrase density to about 17 to 20 percent and to make the sentences and paragraphs sound natural. Because the algorithm changes frequently for search engines, this will keep any SEO firm busy by making frequent site changes to keep up.

Your chosen firm should not be shy about making site content changes without loosing focus of your over all business goal.

What about link building?

This process is extremely important to raise rankings with Google, who gets about 65% of all search business, and somewhat important to Yahoo and MSN, the next two most popular search engines.

Make certain your potential SEO firm engages in sufficient link building efforts. This is done by creating links to your site in a number of ways: blogging and social site are just the beginning. A good SEO will write articles and post those articles to sites such as ezineArticles.com or Helium.com. This creates a link back to your site. These articles can then be posted other locations, such as blogs. If the system works well for you, someone else will find the article and post it to their site or blog, giving you an unsolicited link back to your site.

The problem is this method takes a long time (sometimes 2 to 3 months) for real results to be seen. The solution is to purchase links. Care should be taken to link to only reputable sites and not to link farms which sell links simply to make money for themselves. The more inbound links your site has, the better your rankings will be.

What keyword or phrase will be used to show my rankings?

It is a fact that if you do a search for an article by that article's title, it will show up as #1 in page rankings. If you search for the page's URL, it will be #1 because there is only one site with that URL. The real test of your SEO firm is if they can raise your rankings via a keyword or phrase that is a popular key word or phrase and not something so narrow that you are the only one who will have that particular search phrase. What are the odds that someone will do a search for "Four Questions You Should Ask Your Potential SEO Firm Before Hiring Them?"

The firm should focus on the keyword or phrase that will accomplish what your company is hoping to accomplish.

Internet Marketing Secret to Success

Ive always said there are no secrets in Internet Marketing. But sure there are. The Google search and quality score algorithms are secrets, pretty much, just as a quick example.

However, when someone is trying to sell you his latest greatest secret that got him a huge bank account, and he used those secret techniques never before revealed: Bah, humbug.

So, technically, the above headline is just to grab attention.

However if you arent aware of something, its a secret to you, so with that in mind, Id like to reveal my secret 8 steps to Internet Marketing success. Here are the steps you have to take to make it:

* Wanting

* Attempting

* Learning

* Believing

* Focusing

* Working

* Achieving

* Enjoying

I might have left something out in some situations, but for me, wanting, attempting, and learning consumed (as I wrote in my book) about 3 years of my life. Totally consumed it, in fact.

Then I finally learned what I needed to learn (for me it was Campaign Blasting), and I finally reached the step of believing.

The last 4 steps came in rapid succession.

Regardless of your current status, you can reach step 8, I have no doubt about it at all, if youre willing to do what it takes. I mentioned on our forum recently that I expect that most of our members are at least on step 3, and most are on step 6.

In reading posts on other forums, I see too many at step 1, and fear they will be there forever. For example, I saw a post the other day. The person wanted to earn $6,000 in 4 months, and he wanted suggestions. Someone gave him a good suggestion to try Bum Marketing, and his response was Im not interested in writing articles.

Uh, excuse me? Im not interested in getting out of a warm bed on a cold day, either, but some things require doing some things that you arent interested in doing.

Read the steps. Do the steps. Leave out a step and youre asking for trouble, IMO.

Where are you today? What can you do this month to get to the next step? Ask yourself how much it would be worth to you to get there. How much time? How much effort? How much money?

Step 4 (believing) can be the quickest to achieve, and the hardest to achieve, at the same time. Some people have a devil of a time because their guard is up, non believing all the hype around them. And that can be a good thing. But then again, if you believe everyone is a scammer and a liar, who will you choose for a mentor?

It sometimes takes an ah-ha moment like I had in 2005. I read a report written by someone that I knew and trusted. I said if he can do that, I can do that. And then, just like that, I did that. The rest is history.

For some people, believing doesnt happen until they see someone close to them do something amazing. Many know the story of Roger Bannister, the first person to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Prior to his accomplishing that, it was widely believed that no human being could perform that feat. Soon after he did it, several others did also.

What happened there? Did they become stronger or faster in a few weeks? Did they learn a new technique? No, not at all. All that happened was that suddenly they learned that running a mile in under 4 minutes was in fact humanly possible.

If he can do that, I can do that, they said. And they did that.

Youve heard it many times: "What the mind believes, it can achieve."

Easier said than done, I know. But there are techniques that speed up the process.

A Good SEO eBook: From Novice to Expert

Learning Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can be confusing especially when all kind of information can be found on the Internet. For most of the time, webmasters will learn SEO through forums and SEO 'experts'. In this article, I will illustrate how a person can learn the correct Search Engine Optimization techniques from a reliable source- the SEO e-Book.

As there are countless amount of SEO e-books published on the Internet, it is becoming more difficult to find and determine a reliable e-book in this domain.

The first thing to look out for when evaluating an e-book is its author. Performing a search in Google for the author's name will reveal the author's enriching profile if he / she is a professional Search Engine Optimizer. Some of the few SEO experts are Aaron Wall, Peter Kent and Dave Taylor. On the other hand, if you could not find anything related to the author in the search engines, chances are the author is not experienced enough in this field.

The next important point to look out for is the coverage of the SEO e-book. A peek at the Table of Content will determine how useful is the particular e-book. A good SEO e-book must cover an introduction of how search engines work, how are the pages indexed etc. Basic on-page SEO optimization like unique titles and descriptive header tags should be included in the e-book as well.

A good SEO e-book should also contains how to achieve good rankings by link baiting, which attracts relevant inbound links to a designated page and hence, generate highly targeted traffic to the site.

Popular SEO e-books often contain additional advices other the above mentioned. For example, some professional SEO authors will include topics like copywriting, marketing and Pay Per Click (PPC) strategy.

In conclusion, a useful SEO e-book must not only contains basic optimizing techniques but also how to outrank your competitors by off-page optimization and promotion strategies.

Article marketing continues to make wonders in terms of generating traffic for various websites. Most webmasters agree that it is one of the best tools in pulling up search engine ranking and making their site more popular and frequently visited. If you'd like to use article marketing so you can create more money from it, here are the best ways to do it:

1. Write more quality, meaningful articles. The first step to article marketing is writing numerous articles that will show your expertise on your chosen field. Remember, each article will represent your or your company, so they better offer valuable and credible information that will make readers trust you.

2. Prepare a killer resource box. Your resource box must be compelling enough to make your readers click your website's URL. It must contain your name, your website address, and your call for action.

3. Make your articles scannable and easy on the eyes. Don't submit lengthy articles that will surely bore your readers. Instead, submit articles that run 250-500 words that are full with information and juicy details that your readers are looking for. Make your articles scannable by using bullets or numbers when you are presenting steps or tips. You can also use sub topics.

4. Submit your articles to major article submission sites. To date, there are more than 200 hundred article submission sites but only half of them generate good traffic. Don't waste your time submitting your articles to those that cannot help you increase your site's popularity, instead focus your energy to the ones that can promise you huge number of visitors like ezinearticles.com.

5. Make your landing page compelling. Once you have successfully drove online users to your website, make sure that it functions well and offers readers what they are looking for. It may be more information or the products and services that you are offering.

How to Write 10 Articles in One Day

As an online article author you know that you need 1,000 or more articles to really guarantee your success, not only for high-quality and targeted traffic links coming in, but also to insure that you reach your targeted audience thru online article information selling strategies.

To get to 1,000 articles in a reasonable time you need to figure out how you can get yourself to write 10 or more articles per day, as if you do this you will have 300 articles per month and your marketing campaign thus will only take you 3 months to get in the range of the synergy you need to make it happen online.

The best way to write ten articles a day is to write out ten possible titles that you wish to write about and put each one of them on top line of a Word file and save it. Next, open the word files and write one paragraph about that subject on each word file. Next write two or three sentences that come to mind that you wish to consider when you are ready to complete writing this article.

Next take a break. Try to be thinking about all the different subject matters that you are going to write about and then later comeback and write another paragraph for each article and if you find the information flowing just continue until it is done. When you get to three hundred or 400 words stop the article and state your conclusion.

If you are stuck on certain subjects leave it for now and go on and you will come back to it later when you are more fresh with an idea. After you have done this you should have 4 to 5 articles completed and the rest now have two paragraphs. Take a break.

When you come back write a third paragraph to each article and as you did before if the information is flowing continue, if not move on. Now you should have another three or four articles done and only a couple left to do and you can think of these for the rest of your day or perhaps talk to a friend about the subject and see if they come up with new information you had not thought of.

When you are ready sit back down and force yourself to finish the last articles and remember you already have three paragraphs so you should be able to do this. That is how you write 10 articles today. For tomorrow, write out 10 titles tonight and think about it.

Viral Marketing The Easy Way

Viral marketing methods are used today for one good reason - they work. There are many different techniques that you can use, but it tends to be better to focus on one strategy at a time and work at it until you get the results you want. If you are already into 'bum' or article marketing a great strategy is to turn your articles into a viral marketing report or eBook.

As you have already written the articles it requires very little work on your part to develop something that will bring in traffic (and sales) for years to come. Compiling the articles into a single document is relatively easy although you may need to do some work in re-branding and making it aesthetically pleasing. In addition, there may be some effort required in adding viral elements. Many authors are not so subtle and put in blatant advertisements. You may get more success by adding some value to the reader and disguising the marketing component. A popular technique is to add a review of several products in the particular niche. You will need to include your own affiliate links, but to make them less obvious you should consider cloaking them.

Distribution can be done in many ways. If the resulting publication is of high quality you could consider selling it. In order to make it viral you would need to include reprint rights. Not only do you get sales from the book (which is practically written already), but you get others spreading it around on your behalf.

If you really want the material to spread you should consider giving it away and encourage others to do the same (with the proviso that the material is not changed in any way). You can advertise your giveaway in forums and in list emails. One area that can be very useful but is often neglected is on the download page of any related products you sell. People love to be provided with unadvertised bonuses. Because it is on the download page, it is seen as a part of the actual order and most people will download it.

A viral marketing campaign costs a lot less to implement than traditional advertising. It needs to be remembered that viral marketing is just one component of your marketing repertoire. It should be linked with other strategies such as setting up squeeze pages to collect opt-ins. When combined with other essential business building strategies it can help to generate traffic to your web site, build a huge and solid customer base, add to your sales and contribute towards your success.

Top 3 Internet Marketing Promotion Tips

So you want to construct a very profitable internet marketing promotion?

Many do, but few have the understanding, and patience to maximize profit potential using effective internet marketing strategies.

When I use the term online internet marketing I am referring to promoting a product or service, whether it is yours or others, and getting as many qualified visitors to visit your website as humanly possible.

When many business owners start e business marketing as an additional avenue of marketing they feel all they need to do is put up a website, and qualified buyers will flock to the webpage, and money will fall from the sky. Not necessarily so.

In an internet marketing promotion this is the farthest thing from the truth. First off, you have to get your site ranking high in the search engines for specific keywords.

Unless your internet business wants to buy traffic via pay per click, or offer an affiliate internet marketing program, the website traffic will be minimal unless you rank for high searched upon keyword terms.

Minimal web traffic equals minimal sales. You have to put forth a continuous effort driving traffic to your site, day after day.

Here are 3 internet marketing promotion tips that will assist you in getting the most out of your online marketing promotion.

1. Continuous, internet promotion using as many online marketing strategies as possible.

It takes continuous work as an online marketer to drive traffic to your site. You must hit as many traffic avenues as possible.

Some web traffic creation strategies include article marketing, submitting press releases, launching an affiliate program, SEO your site, and invest in pay per click advertising.

A winning internet marketing tip is to have a diversified internet business strategy for driving qualified visitors to your website.

Promote! Promote! Promote! You have a choice. You can do the work yourself, or delegate your internet marketing promotion tasks to others. The most successful online marketers leverage their time by having others do traffic generation tasks for them. Do what is best for your specific internet business.

2. Always be building relationships.

When I mean relationships I mean with possible joint venture partners, or affiliates, as well as visitors to your website.

To have a really effective internet marketing web site promotion you will want to build a list of people highly interested in your product. Without a list you may never get another chance to market to a web visitor again. Once they are gone, they generally are gone! Therefore, I highly recommend giving visitors something valuable in exchange for signing up for additional information. You can then begin building a relationship with your prospects, and begin turning them into paying customers in the very near future.

Another top internet marketing tip is to focus on building a relationship with your list. People will buy from those who know you, like you, and trust you.

It is important for your internet marketing promotions to build relationships with other marketers who have lists of people. That way you can form joint ventures with people to promote your internet marketing product, or service.

3. Always be testing.

It is always important for your internet marketing promotion to always be testing. Know your conversion rates, and continually strive to beat the control. Your sales copy needs to improve each month. Never be satisfied. If you are, you are throwing money away.

Have a mindset that your copy is the worst it will ever be, today. Keep testing, and tracking to increase sales conversion rates.

For your website promotion internet marketing business get familiar with the overall conversion rate, value per visitor, and lifetime value of your customer.

Having a firm grasp on these numbers. Attempting to improve them will quickly put your internet promotion in overdrive.

Continuing education should always be a key to your internet marketing promotion strategy. Attempt to keep up with the latest online marketing tips, tricks, and techniques, and inject the ideas into your overall plan.

Article Marketing - How to Get More Views and More Click Throughs Per Article

As an article writer and marketer, you will no doubt be interested in how you can get a lot more people to view your articles and increase the number of click-throughs to your website(s). Believe it or not, there is a very quick, easy and no cost way to do this. Interested? Well, you can only do it when you have sufficient articles to analyze the data they produce.

If you have enough articles to compare statistics - say 20 minimum - then look at the number of views and click-throughs that you are getting. What can these statistics tell you?

  1. No views - your subject material is just not interesting to anybody OR your headline is hopeless OR your teaser summary is garbled or non-compelling and does not entice a reader to follow it. Solution - write articles that are of interest, learn to write more "eye-catching" headlines and make your teaser copy more of a "tease." Write it so that readers WANT to know MORE.

  2. Lots of views but few click throughs - you have written an interesting article but you have either told all there is to tell or your "Resource Box" does not work. Solution - try not to tell all and tidy up your resource box. If it is too long, gives your life history, or has too many conflicting links then it probably needs to be fixed.

There are five KEY areas that you can study to get more views and more click-throughs. There are:

  1. Subject material
  2. Headlines
  3. Keywords
  4. Summaries/teasers
  5. Resource box

By looking at your BEST performing articles and comparing them against your WORST performing articles you will quickly see where you need to make adjustments. By analyzing your statistics to see what worked and what didn't you will soon be able to get more views per article and increase your click-through rate.

Does Content Relevancy Factor Overrule Page Rank Of The Site In Coming Up In SERP's?

Page rank of the site is a important factor to come up in search results for a particular keyword but, it is observed that content relevancy factor overrules page rank. The question arises - does content relevancy factor overrules page rank of the site in coming up in SERP's? This common question comes to every SEO's mind while doing search engine optimization of a site.

It is seen that Google depends a lot on content relevancy factor when displaying results to the user. Google does this on purpose as by doing this it can supply the most relevant results to the user and hence enhance user search experience. Now we have to analyze what is content relevancy factor. We take a example if we search hotels in mumbai then Google will show a site whose theme would accurately match the searched keywords and would ignore sites in the same category but a broader theme like hotels in India or world's top hotels even though those sites might have higher page ranks.

Content relevancy factor depends on following things on a website

  • Title of the page, does title exactly matches or closely matches the keyword researched
  • Meta keywords and meta description contain the keyword searched
  • Keyword density on the page for a particular keyword searched
  • Anchor text of internal links pointing to that page
  • Anchor text of external links pointing to that page

Search engine analyzes these factors before displaying the results to the user. Search engine also awards relevant points to the location of the user and content relevant according to the specific geographic location of that user. This is a important point which a SEO should note while doing optimization work for a web site.

Write Articles to Promote Your Online Business

Business owners employ all kinds of strategies to get desired results in the highly-competitive world of online marketing. The key is to drive in targeted traffic to your website and then get the visitors converted into customers. For this to happen, you need an appealing website along with competent brand promotion strategies.

Most businesses today are aiming at optimising their websites for encouraging search engine optimisation results. Paid advertising, affiliate marketing and email marketing are some of the other most commonly used techniques by marketers. However, it is imperative to note here that most of these techniques involve the use of money in some or the other way.

Here lies the importance of article writing as a means of promoting a site. Highly effective, inexpensive and easily manageable, this strategy can truly take your business to new heights. The greatest advantage of writing articles is that you get to reach out to a targeted segment that comprises your potential buyers.

Produce good write-ups and then share or post them on online platforms like article directories and e-zines. By doing so, you ensure that your website is well-exposed in the online marketplace. You can get a link back from the directory where you submit your articles, or else, give information about your company in the resource box. Since link exchange strengthens off-page SEO, this tactic will do a world of good for your site.

More than anything else, these articles are free advertising tools for your website. If you write relevant and informative stuff, you are bound to get noticed, and that too by targeted customers who are looking for related topics. However, a writer has to ensure that his write-ups do not have a marketing touch, because many directories refuse to accept such articles.

One of the most effective means of website promotion is marketing through search engines. Writing articles can help you in this regard. Incorporate important keywords and write search engine friendly articles so as to attract search engine spiders and get your site crawled.

Once you have posted articles and shared them on online forums, you will start getting comments, references and testimonials from web users and webmasters. This will stand your site and business in good stead and further get you high-value traffic.

Million Dollar Resource Box

Writing articles can be a very profitable exercise if you focus on the details. One of the most important details of your article is the authors Resource Box. Many authors mistakenly use it to market themselves. They talk about their education, their background, and their accomplishments. Unless you are a famous individual, no one really cares where you went to school, where you grew up, or any of your fabulous accomplishments. Dont waste precious space in the Resource Box to brag. If you feel a need to tell people how great you are, write about it in an article and see how many page views you get. Ive researched over a thousand articles and the number one reason that many writers fail to make money with their articles is due to a flawed Resource Box.

In the ideal Resource Box, you should tout three things: your website, one of your own promotional items, and an affiliate program. Ive seen countless articles that did not even mention a website.

The article is written to benefit the public, the Resource Box is written to compensate the author. Many authors have one Bio that they use for every article they submit. This is a big mistake. When I finish writing an article, I dont step away from the computer until I complete two Resource Boxes. A plain text version for sites that do not accept html in their articles, and an html version for sites that accept the a href command. If a site says that they will allow html in their article, I will submit the html version. If the site does not specifically state that they will accept html, or if they say that they will strip it out, I submit the plain text version.

Your targeted Resource Box should contain just three or four sentences. None of them will contain information about you.

Sentence 1) If you have a domain with a catchy name, make sure you use it instead of an html (a href) link. This sentence will contain a link or URL pointing to the opt-in (or squeeze) page on your website. In order to entice the reader to click, you will offer them incentives such as free downloads, free ebooks, or a free report of some kind.

Sentence 2) If the site permits it, use hyper-linked text for this and the following sentences. In this sentence, include a link or URL offering one of your own money-making products.

Sentence 3) If you wish, you can say a few words about how great your website is and the benefits of using it.

Sentence 4) This is the last sentence; provide a link or URL to an affiliate program you are promoting.

By using this format for your Resource Box, you will be compensated quite nicely for your articles.

Article Writing To Increase Website Traffic

As you are reading this article, I take it you want your website to get noticed online and you want to drive some traffic to it. Of all the marketing strategies, article writing is one of the best, and my particular favorite, and best of all, it's virtually free. It definitely helps your site to get a better ranking and a better placement in the major search engine results.

Article writing is also a good way to gain some sort of credibility in the internet marketing world. Writing articles for content websites is quite a bit different than writing say, magazines articles. Don't forget that the reason every one is banging on about article writing, is that there is no better way to obtain a one way link and generate traffic to your website.

If you are having trouble getting started, have a look at published articles on the same subject as you intend to write about. As with any subject these days, there is plenty of good advice on article writing flying around the net, you just have to go and look for it. Article writing is not that difficult and is enjoyable for some, while others find it hard work. Me, I am somewhere in between, and find the trickiest bit is coming up with a subject that will be of interest to people.

The resource box which you put at the end of your article should have a short bio and definitely your website address, because this is the link through which you can generate traffic from your articles. You may well be pleasantly surprised at the targeted traffic it will bring to you. If you ask any successful internet marketer of a good way to drive targeted traffic to your website, I'd wager that article writing would get a strong mention.

The good news is that there are loads of article submission sites on the internet. By submitting your articles to these sites, you are almost guaranteed to gain some traffic for your website. Just ensure you read the submission guidelines on these sites, as they can vary quite a bit. The article submission sites usually stipulate a minimum and maximum amount of words for each article; most of them want at least 250-300 words. I usually aim for 350-600, but it's your call. Well that's, all, go and get writing. If I can do it, anybody can.

How To Implement A Winning Marketing Strategy To Your Advantage!

A Marketing strategy is crucial if you want to really succeed in your marketing. Amongst its advantages are:

1. Helping you to focus your marketing attention.

2. Better complete utilization of resources

3. Helps in increasing sales; and

4. A powerful resource of winning over your competitors.

Every company applies some kind of marketing strategies to maintain existing customers, attract potential customers and also to maintain and enhance their reputation in the market.

When designing a marketing plan, first a marketing strategy is taken into consideration. The marketing plan consists of steps to be taken so as to attain success in the implementation of the marketing strategy chosen. Big projects involve selection of different strategies at different levels. Usually a strategy consists of well-sketched tactics. They are meant to meet the needs and finally reach marketing objectives.

Each of the strategies has pre-calculated results because when a particular strategy is chosen at a particular level, its outcome becomes the goal of that particular level. If there is an absence of a well thought out strategy in a marketing plan it means it is supposedly lacking a good foundation. A reasonable marketing strategy should not only facilitate marketing goals, but also the action sequence of a campaign.

At regular time intervals the firm should analyze the marketing decision. This is done with the help of strategic models. The 3C's model is usaully considered for this purpose. The 3C's model determines the factors, which leads to the success of a marketing campaign.

There are three key parties involved in this model. These are:

>>> The corporation

>>> The customer; and

>>> The competitors.

The involvement of all the three key parties leads to positive results and this involvement is known as the 3C's or strategic triangle.

The role of the corporation is to increase the strength of the company in the success critical areas, when compared to that of the competitor. The customer and his interest form the basis of any strategy. The competitor also plays a vital part. The competitor-based strategies are based on the functioning of business competitors like design and engineering, sales and servicing, and purchasing.

When making a marketing plan some particular strategies known as mix strategies are used. 4P's model is used to calculate whether the plan is sticking to the strategies or not.

The four Ps stand for product, price, place and promotion. Products are goods produced by the company on a huge scale for the purpose of selling them and earning profit. Price is the money paid for a product by the customer. The price is based on many factors like competition, market share, customer perception and product identity. Place where the product is sold can be either physical store or store on the Internet. It is also known as distribution channel. To make the customer knowledgeable about a product, the marketer does promotion. It involves advertising, public relation and point of sale.

There are different types of marketing strategies based on some criteria. Some of the common marketing strategies are:

1. Market dominance strategies - Market dominance strategies are used to dominate the market. Examples of these are Challenger, Leader and Follower.

2. Porter generic strategies - Porter generic strategies are built on strategic strength or competing abilities and strategic scope or market penetration. Cost leadership, Market segmentation and Product differentiation are types of porter generic strategies.

3. Innovation strategies - Innovation strategies are meant to trigger the rate of product development and model innovation. It helps you as a business to incorporate latest technologies. Close followers, late follower and Pioneers are types of innovation strategies.

4. Growth strategies - Growth strategies facilitate the growth of the organization. Intensification, Diversification, Vertical integration and Horizontal integration are types of growth strategies.

5. Marketing warfare strategies are conjunction of marketing strategies and military strategies.

A marketing strategy or a mix of them is chosen only after thorough market research. A marketer should always be ready to face any kind of situations like if the strategy is changed in the middle, he should be able to perform another market research so as to choose the proper strategy, within a short period of time. This can be done easily if you have the experience.

Directory Link Building For Link Popularity And Great SEO

In SEO, off page issues have become more and more significant as they relate to rankings. In particular, link popularity can build or destroy a website with the search engines.

Link popularity is the number and quality of the incoming links that are pointing to your website. It can be determined that these other sites that link to you, consider your site important enough to link to.

From the search engines point of view, your website is considered important as well.

One of the most difficult areas of SEO is building link popularity because the search engines don't want unnaturally fashioned links, so there are no easy ways to create link popularity.

The days of link farms and huge link exchange programs are history. Those strategies now could have you booted out of a search engine.

The search engines like links from valued websites. These are called 'authoritative' sites. The first one you should try and get a link from is the Open Directory Project (ODP) otherwise known as DMOZ. Listings are free of charge, but can take a notoriously long time to get. Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter - or you will be wasting your time trying.

Yahoo is the other major directory, but this will cost you a couple of hundred bucks each year.

The other aspects the search engines look for are, if the links are coming from websites that share the same subject of focus as your website.

Again, this is where the directories provide a strong basis from which to construct your link building strategy, because you can list your website in an appropriate relevant category - with related products or services to yours.

Apart from the link popularity you gain by getting a major or authoritative website to link to you, you will also gain additional visibility and subsequently traffic for your Web site.

Good luck with your link building strategy.
