Internet Marketing On A Budget

Its easy when caught in the maelstrom of the Internet or even when considering a website for your business to feel that you're a very small fish in a very big pond, and that in order to compete with the large corporate giants that now dominate the Internet as they do our high streets you need very deep pockets.

Naturally as with any new business venture opening up an online shopping website requires a degree of investment, but unlike most marketplaces the Internet offers opportunities, many of which are free that can help you not only attract customers to your website but that also assist in the day to day running and development of your eCommerce business.

Google lead the way in their own inimitable fashion by providing a host of resources that can help business owners large and small navigate their way through the online minefield. These include their shopping index where you can list your products to be browsed by those that use their search engine, to Google Analytics, a comprehensive online statistics package that records and interprets data associated with the use of your website such as visitor numbers, keywords used to find your site and so on. These kinds of tools are fast becoming industry standards and more often than not require minimal or no investment at all depending on your particular requirements and expertise.

For those more technically savvy and familiar with the Internet there are many other opportunities to increase your brand awareness and lure customers to your business. The words 'social networking' may send you into an eternal coma or perhaps prompt you to torch your local Internet caf, but they do mean something tangible. For every possible interest, hobby, activity or curiosity there is a host of social networking websites associated that offer potential opportunities to channel targeted visitors back to your business.

I myself am an avid wildlife photographer and as such regularly browse the numerous websites available to me on the subject, from industry news to equipment review sites and online galleries where I can post my very own photos for critical review and analysis by like-minded individuals. With every post or participation I have the opportunity to drop my own websites name or address in. This is word-of-mouth from your keyboard, the single most effective form of advertising we know of.

Recent years have seen the proliferation of RSS, "Really Simple Syndication" a technique which enables frequently updated content from one website to be published on another. Typically an RSS document, often referred to as a "feed" contains a summary of content, such as a news headline that is linked straight back to the original website to which the full article is published.

You may perhaps have an RSS feed on an industry related website which headlines the launch of a new product. As interested viewers click on your headline to read more they are instantly deposited upon your website... I could go on, there are numerous opportunities available to us on the Internet and as we become evermore tied to it they can only increase.

2007 was certainly a sign of things to come, as a record breaking year for the UK's eCommerce industry it saw 15% of all retail sales made online, up 54% from 2006, and despite recent fears in the economy 2008 promises to continue this trend. For retailers there has never been a better time to start selling online.

Why Your Talents Alone Aren't Getting You Anywhere Online

The bottom line is that there are plenty of really talented people out there who will never be heard from because they dont understand even the most basic principles of marketing. Marketing isnt often taught in Fine Arts courses because the instructors, by nature, are better at teaching the craft than they are at marketing themselves in the craft. Most marketing experts havent fine tuned their artistic talents enough to have a product worth marketing.

So the good news is that it is easier for a talented artist to learn the principles of excellence in marketing ideas and services than it is for a marketing genius to develop the passion and skill sets needed to produce good and, sometimes, great art.

Your website looks good and is ready to be shown to the public but now youll have to begin your marketing phase.

The first thing youll want to do is start writing internet articlesfor free! They dont have to be long or profound, they just have to be written well, stay on subject, be controversial and have great titles that search engines will latch onto and deliver people into your funnel.

Go to http://ezinearticles.com, sign up for a free membership and start writing short articles about what youre interested in. Also, make sure the meta tags on each page of your website have 101 keywords and phrases to attract search engines. Also, make sure that you have a text table of contents on each page of your website as well as the cool flash buttons. Make sure every page has a title and that you register your site with http://dmoz.com.

Next, start a blog at http://blogger.com (its free) and start blogging about your subject and your art. Talk about which phases your are in certain projects and make sure to include plenty of juicy tips and advice for people interested in art (do you see that you are truly building your online brand into an expertise here?).

Next, go to http://aweber.com and sign up for a newsletter database subscription ($20 a month). Put forms and links on all of your websites and send an initial message to your warm e-mail market to join your subscription list. Send a weekly newsletter to your subscriberskeep them entertained and keep them interested and with patience and time your audience will grow into thousands. These thousands know tens of thousands and this circle of hundreds of thousands of possibilities will keep you working for the rest of your life if you choose to work that long.

Beyond this, there is pay-per-click advertising you search out proper keywords and buy time with them in certain search engines as well as affiliate programs where other people market your services for you and you give them a percentage of whatever business they bring. But lets focus on the cheaper foundation first.

This is a guaranteed method of success if you are willing to put the time into it and you must first decide whether you want to go all the way or not because success and happiness begin at the crown of the head where spirit meets mind meets body. Success or failure is a choice we make each moment and determine the nature of our experience of reality. I have been extremely impressed with your talent and with your professionalism in our exchanges so farI believe in you and in your future and I am willing to invest my time and limited resources (for now at least) into helping you achieve. But all that doesnt matter if you havent invested yourself and your success 100%.

There is no going back from here, my friend. Onward and upward!

How To Use Article Marketing To Benefit Your Business

If you love to write, then you're one step further to using article marketing to benefit you and your business. Pick a topic you need to learn more about or one that you are interested in. Do the required research, and make it into a resourceful article. Write articles that relate to your business. Also, concentrate on topics that you know people will be searching for. Use specific keywords in your articles so the search engines will find them...thus, resulting in finding your business.

The following steps will guide you through the article marketing process...

1. Find ideas for your articles. This can be accomplished in a number of ways.

* Participate in business message forums
* Participate in chat rooms
* Join discussion groups
* Blog
* Subscribe to ezines

Ask questions, read, and learn. The result will lead you to some innovative article ideas.

You can also get ideas from actually reading other articles. You should never copy content from another person's article...but rather, come up with an unusual twist or angle and make it your own.

2. When you have a topic for an article, give it a title and start writing it. If you are not an expert on the subject, you will need to do some research. Keep in mind WHY you are writing the article. You should be writing articles that are geared toward getting traffic to your website or business. Make them interesting and resourceful...making the reader WANT to visit your site.

3. Once you have written your article and have checked it for errors, you will need to start submitting it to various message forums and article directories. Try to choose directories with a high page rank. The ones with higher page ranks will have more importance with the search engines.

4. Always include your resource box at the end of your written article. This will include for example: your name and a link to your website or business. When people read your article you will have your link right there for them to click on and visit. Website owners are always searching for content for their websites. They often search in article directories. When they download your article, they also download your resource box. The more articles you write and submit to directories...the more links you will have directing people to your business.

Articles are one of the most effective marketing tools on the Internet today. Use it and benefit from it. Don't be afraid of it. Write about what you know, and keep writing, and success will follow.

Search Engine Optimization - How To Use Off Page Optimization To Rank Your Website Higher

To rank high in the search engines you will need several SEO techniques.

The two main SEO areas to focus on are "ON page" and "OFF page".

This article deals with Off Page Search Engine Optimization.

Off Page Optimization techniques you can apply to your website are as follows:

Getting inks from other sites with your key phrases. Ideally these links will land on different pages within your site connecting with the same themed content as where the link came from.

Having links from a site that has similar content to yours is ideal. The stronger the match the stronger the link.

When getting links from other sites it is best to make sure those sites linking to you are "trusted" by the search engines rather than coming from low value link farms or penalized websites.

To get links from other sites you can do several of the following things:

Buy links from link brokers. These can be expensive and if they are good quality they will help your site get ranked higher. A PR 6 or PR 7 Link will give you strong value.

Submit articles to good quality article directories like ezinearticles.com. These article directories allow you to link to your site with key word relevant links in the resource box at the bottom of the article.

Other webmasters will pick up the content from resources like this and publish them on themed websites. The article directory itself will publish the article from a high page Rank page when approved. Articles must be of high quality.

You can submit your website to directories and have your website listed in a relevant category. Some like DMOZ are free and have high levels of authority.

Place comments on a blog with high page rank. If you link from blogs to your website from a blog with similar themed content you will get credit for such a link. Remember to link to the correct page on your website that matches the content.

Use your forum signature to link back to your site. When you post in forums you will create links back to your site from relevant content.

Submit articles to other webmasters in your niche. This will provide your website with incoming links with anchor text.

Put a link in the footer of you emails so users can click into your website.

So you can see that off page optimization is mostly about getting links pointing back to your site from quality sources. The links should contain your key words and phrases and point to the correct page within your website.

The more quality links you have coming into your site, the higher your site will rank for the key words you choose.

Real Estate Marketing Strategies - 7 Tips to Motivate Your Sphere of Influence to Refer to You

As a business coach for real estate agents, I often hear my clients say to me, I just cant pick up the phone and call my sphere of influence. Why not? I ask.

These are the responses I get:

I dont know what to say.
I cant ask my friends or business.
I have no reason to call.
I dont want to bug them.
Its not okay to call them too often.

This article shows you how to motivate your sphere of influence to refer to you easily and effortlessly.

The 7 Tips:

Tip 1: Have a script so you know what to say

What you decide to say may vary from person to person. The way you talk to a close friend may be quite different from the way you talk to a distant acquaintance.

There is no one formula of what to say. However, it is very helpful to have something to offer when you call. One idea that many of my clients have found helpful is to call your sphere of influence and offer to be a referral source for them.

In other words, let them know that you have plenty of connections to people who could help them. For example, you know many painters, electricians, plumbers, etc. and your sphere of influence should know that if they need any names and phone numbers they should call you and you will be happy to provide a referral source for them.

Tip 2: Think of yourself as being the giver

Most of us love to be the giver. We know we will be well received and people will like us. We also know that giving leads to more business.

Before you pick up the phone to call your sphere of influence ask yourself what can I give to them? One way that you could be of service to them, is to offer to be a cross referral partner.

If they have their own business, ask them how their business is doing. Ask them how you could help them at their business. Ask them what kind of referrals they would like to receive. Let them know that you will do your best to send referrals to them. At the end of the conversation, you can say something like, when you hear of anyone whos interested in buying or selling a home, please call me with their name and number. If its okay with them, I will call them and make sure that their real estate needs are being taken care of.

Tip 3: Send an Item of value each month

What kind of item of value, should you send? It used to be that sending newsletters was a hot item. However, most people have gotten too busy to read a newsletter.

The item that works the best is a colorful postcard that gives the events happening in their area. Their sphere of influence is likely to put that postcard on the refrigerator and refer to it often.

Of course, next to the list of events happening in the area is your photo, your phone number, and your tag line such as relax and let me run the extra mile to fulfill your real estate needs.

You start to enter their stream of consciousness.

They start to associate positive ideas with you:
You are associated with happy events in their area,
You are associated with brilliant bright, happy colors in the postcard,
Your face smiles at them every time they go to the refrigerator.

Let me ask you, do you think they are more likely to remember you the next time they have a real estate need or a real estate question?

Tip 4: Dont be afraid to call them too often

As long as you have a good reason to call, they will be happy to hear from you. Trust your own gut instinct about how often you should call them. Many real estate gurus suggest calling people in your sphere of influence about once a month. You may choose that to do that with your A list, the people most likely to refer to you.

Since you are sending an item of value each month, you can always ask them did you receive the postcard? You can follow that with, so what event are you going to go to?

Tip 5: Assume the positive

Simply assume that they will be happy to hear from you. Why wouldnt they be? They are receiving a wonderful colorful, informative postcard from you each month, then you are calling and offering them something, and you are conditioning them to want to hear from you.

Assume that you have something valuable to offer, your friendship and your real estate expertise, and people want to hear from you.

Tip 6: Be excited about your business

Remember, desperation does not sell, but excitement does. No matter what the current condition of your business, always say something like, I am so excited about my business. I get to meet such wonderful people and Im really in an expansion phase of my business. If you want to help out, just send people my way to have a real estate question or issue, I will be happy to help them.

Tip 7: Use the Law of Attraction

To successfully use the Law of Attraction, you need to be clear about what you want. What do you want? Do you want your sphere of influence to send you several clients a month? If so, then set your intention, I am now in the process of attracting several new clients from my sphere of influence each month.

Do you have any opposing beliefs that you need to clear? The Law of Attraction cannot give you what you want if you have any beliefs that would oppose your desired outcome.

For example, if you want to attract an abundance of prosperity, but you have beliefs like:
I dont deserve to have a lot of money,
Its selfish to want more than I have,
Money is the root of all evil,
Money cant buy me happiness,
Rich people are usually not honest.

If you have any of the above beliefs, those are called opposing beliefs. Can you see that you could be doing all the right activities with your sphere of influence, but if you had opposing beliefs like these, you would not be attracting the clients and the income you want?

To get the Law of Attraction to work for you, you need to identify these old self limiting beliefs, release them and install empowered beliefs.

Here are some examples of empowered beliefs that will help you create the income you want:
I do deserve an abundance of prosperity,
Its okay for me to be grateful for what I have and still want more,
Money is neutral and can be used for good or evil,
Money cant buy me happiness, but I can create a better life for myself and people around me by being prosperous,
Some people are honest and some are not. It has no relationship to whether or not they have money.

Practice repeating your empowered beliefs, frequently and train your mind to focus on what you want, not on what you dont want. If you find yourself dwelling on thoughts of scarcity, like not enough money switch your focus and ask yourself, so what do I want? Start to notice yourself becoming more positive and attracting more of what you want.

For a more complete explanation of the Law of Attraction and how you can use it to grow your real estate business, see my article in the Broker Agent News called The Law of Attraction.

Summary:

To recap, here are the 7 tips guaranteed to motivate your sphere of influence to refer to you:

Know what to say.
Become the giver.
Call frequently.
Offer to help them.
Send out an attractive item of value each month.
Be excited about your business.
Use the law of Attraction to magnetize your ideal clients coming to you.

Best Article Marketing - Discover 5 Interesting Steps to Impact Your Article Marketing

If you are looking for a product promotional and marketing technique that can work overtime and will bring you qualified traffic for many years to come, article marketing is perfect for you. You see, when you submit your articles to publishing sites, your content and your inbound links will stay there for good. Meaning, the articles that you have submitted a couple of years ago can still be accessed by online users and can still draw interested parties to your website.

Here are the 5 interesting steps to impact your article marketing:

1. Offer valuable, useful information. If you want to wow your readers and instantly drive them to your website, you need to offer them information that they will find interesting, appealing, and highly relevant to their lives or areas of interest. These could be solutions to their problems, answers to their burning questions, or simple information that can empower them to do amazing things on their own or help them understand their current situation.

2. Create an interesting author's bio. You would want to build rapport with your readers so they will like you and eventually trust you. One of the best ways to do this is to create an author's bio on leading article submission sites that can give your readers a chance to get to know you more on a personal level. Communicate your hobbies, interests, personal struggles, and inspiring success stories that your readers can easily relate to.

3. Use a killer resource box. To easily entice your readers to check on your website and to increase your conversion rate, spend more time writing your resource box to make it more compelling and attention-grabbing. Use powerful words that can evoke action and offer incentives to boost your clickthrough rate.

4. Do your research. Strive to offer your readers with detailed, in-depth, and complete information about your topic by doing your research and checking relevant, reputable sources online. You may also opt to interview some experts on your chosen niche who can surely give you valuable ideas and different points of view.

5. Be determined. Article marketing, although proven one of the most effective traffic generating tools, cannot promise you success overnight. It may take weeks or even months before you see noticeable increase in your page views. Just don't lose your focus and consistently write and submit your articles online. You'll surely reap great benefits once your articles have started generating interest online.

Article Marketing - The Ugly Truth About Getting Thousands Of Visitors To Your Website!

Are you just starting your online marketing adventure? If yes, you are going to discover the best way to write killer articles that earn you a nice and steady income all during the year.

Do you want to find out a simple and effective method to build a list of thousands of subscribers, drive hordes of traffic to your website and make sales in the front and backend?

It's easy, just write short articles and give them away. That's it.

Writing articles and giving them away for free is the best thing you can do for your business. It's a short and long term strategy.

1. Short term strategy

Whenever you submit your articles to the top directories such as ezine articles, article dashboard and buzzle, you will get instant traffic. Once your articles are approved, you will receive visitors and many of them will click on the link that you put in your bio box.

What is a bio box?

It's the "about the author" byline. If you have a website about forex, you could write a bio box like this:

"John Doe is the owner of the powerful Forex trading software. To discover how you can earn thousands of dollars trading currency exchange, download his free report - How to generate 180 pips every single day on complete autopilot - today!"

Anyone reading your article and interested in the forex market will want to click to learn more.

2. Long term strategy

After a while, your article will only get a few visitors a month from the directory itself, but here come the good news. Your traffic will come from the search engines like Google, Yahoo and msn.

Plus the publishers who added your articles to their web pages will also drive traffic to your site for years to come.

Do you see how powerful it is? And even better, this traffic generation method is ultra cheap. You don't even need to pay a cent.

Breakthrough Article Marketing Secrets That Will Create A Frenzy Of Buyers

There are many different ways that you can drive traffic to your site. For me one of the very best ways that you can do this is using article marketing.

Especially if you are a newbie this is a lot easier than ppc where the competition is extremely fierce. Also what I really like about this method is that it is completely free.

In this article I would like to share some insights with you that will help to get the most out of this method.

1) Write in a conversational style

One of the things that I learnt very early on is that formal language does not work very well using this method. You need to keep your articles short about 250 to 350 words in length. If you make it longer than this then the reader will get lost and not make it to your resource box. Also write in a conversational and friendly style.

2) Use your 30 second elevator pitch

Once you have your reader's attention by sharing a slice of your expertise you need to get them to visit your site. You need to have a killer resource box which will consist of your 30 second elevator pitch that will make them want to visit your site.

3) Drive all your traffic to a squeeze page

One of the most important things that you need to do is build a list by sending all your traffic to a squeeze page. This will improve your conversions. If you are not doing this it will be like going door to door selling. You also get to maximize your marketing efforts by selling over and over again to your loyal subscribers.

Mark Abrahams is a full time internet marketer who has helped others to earn a living online.

What Is Article Marketing And How I Got Started With This Business Model - Part 1

The very first Internet marketing technique I learned when I started online in early 2006 was article marketing. At first, I didn't really believe this would work and I didn't take action.

I bought a cheap ebook called secret affiliate weapon and I read the material. One of the pdfs was about article marketing and was called lazy traffic. I read and didn't take action like most of the people online. After a while, I got a coach and he taught us affiliate marketing. I was stuck because he was teaching us the exact same tactics and strategies I learned before.

Since we had daily assignments, I was forced to write those articles because one of the condition of this coaching program was to do the tasks in time. If you failed, you could be dropped from the program.

I submitted article manually for the first time to ezinearticles, goarticles, article city, article dashboard and a couple of other directories. I can tell you that I was typing and submitting like crazy. I didn't have money in my early beginning and I couldn't hire a ghostwriter or even use a submission software. I needed to do the work alone.

I forget to say that I was enrolled in the program by submitting articles. The entrance fee was $197 a pop, and although I had a burning desire to enroll in this mentoring course, I didn't have the money at the time.

Happily, there was an alternative option for marketers on a budget. All I had to was to submit forty articles with the mentor's resource box at the end. I was so happy! I wrote those 40 articles on the fly. It was my very first batch of articles, and I must admit that grammar and punctuation was bad. But I have no choice, I took action and submitted the articles.

Article Marketing - The Second Step to a Prospect-Pulling Resource Box at the End of Your Articles

Article marketing on the article directories is a two fold process. In the body of the article you give - good, useable information. In the resource box you are ready to receive - the readers clicking through to your web site to become visitors, subscribers, prospects and customers.

Many people falsely believe that the resource box is the place to tell the reader all about you and your many accomplishments so they will know you are the expert.

To this notion I offer a loud and hearty NAY!

The first reason I say NAY! is because if you have not demonstrated in the article body that you are an expert, it is way too late to try to do so in the resource box, and the reader probably did not get as far as your resource box anyway.

The second reason I say NAY! is because the resource box is Not About You, hence the strongly spoken word NAY!

An invitation for THEM!

Your resource box is not the place for a virtual ego wall to tell the reader all about your accomplishments, books, and degrees, etc. In most of mine, if I mention my name at all, it is only at the very end of the resource box.

Your resource box is all about the reader and what more they can learn from you and your resources. The purpose of your resource box is to invite the reader into your world by clicking through to your web site or blog and offering them something of value that will improve their lives. Offer them something of value and you can get a very loyal and responsive new prospect.

Article Marketing and Your Resource Box - You Better Check Your Links if You Want the Full Benefit

Article writers get their articles kicked back for review all the time over this. I've even had some kickbacks when I've not been paying attention and not checked a link that I thought was good, and it was not. Something had just gone wrong in the last day and I didn't know it, so I was sending somebody to a link that was dead.

Make sure the links you put in there to your websites or blogs are live. Even if you've just been on that site that morning and you're writing an article in the afternoon, check the link.

It used to be that I taught that you want to have a clickable text link in your resource box, called an anchor text, like "Click here to..." or "Article Marketing Minute" would be highlighted.

You can still have one of those in your resource box, but what we've found is that many of the folks who have websites, newsletters and blogs that are using articles are not savvy enough to take the HTML code to make those clickable links back to their website, newsletter or blog and use them correctly, so it winds up a dead link. You don't want that.

You want to have at least one, maybe two, of what's called an 'absolute URL' in your resource box. Here's what an absolute URL is. It starts with http:// -- all the way to .com or the end of the domain and file name. So an absolute URL is the whole thing - http all the way to .com

Now that you know what an absolute URL is, and it's kind of a funky sound to it, 'absolute URL' - take it to the next party and see how many people know what an absolute URL is. It would be great conversation. Yeah, right.

Internet Marketing Advanced Strategies - There Are Only 3 Ways To Make More Money!

To make more money on the Internet, you only need to follow three simple steps. If you do this, you will make more money, there is no doubt about it.

I've read countless books and articles during my last two years on the Internet searching for a way to make more money, and the results of my research is the following.

In Internet marketing, the more you do doesn't necessarily mean the more money you will make. You need to use synergy to make more money.

Believe me, it's not obvious. It took me two full yeas to understand that simple thing.

Do you want to know what these three steps are?

1. Increase your market rich

This is the most simple way to make more money. All you need to do is finding more customers. You may want to add a new traffic generation method to your arsenal.

You need to find more potential customers. This is what everybody try to do first. And it also one of the first reason people fail online. I talk more about this in my advanced series.

2. Increase your lead conversion

This is a little bit harder to achieve. Once you found your potential clients, you need to convert more of them into customers. And this where people fail to make a full time income online.

You need to test and track everything.

3. Increase the lifetime value of your customers

You need to get your paying customers to buy more of your products. Many people make the mistake of selling only one product to their buyers. This is why less than 5% of the Internet marketing community make a living online.

It's amazing to see that most of the Internet marketers don't even know the meaning of lifetime value.

Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing

Search engine optimization is the strategic alignment with the requirements of search engines and the content of a Website in order to achieve better rankings with search engines. What is the importance of this? Well, if you care to get your site noticed, you better optimize so people can find it in the millions of Websites out there that are just like yours. Anytime search a term or keyword phrase, such as local weather, the search engine returns pages and pages of results. However, on the first page of results the search engine will typically display how many total hits are a relevant match to your search, the number of hits usually range from anywhere from 200,000 to 2,500,000. This is why it is important to optimize your Website.

My E-commerce background began with online retailing. I was able to launch a successful retail channel online. Drop shipping made it easy for me to conduct business because I set the site up, displayed an online catalog of inventory that my wholesale drop shipper carried and distributed, and received orders. As orders were placed, they were automatically credited to my account and the drop shipper received the order, stamped my return label on the order and shipped it directly to the consumer, so I served as a middleman and made a hefty cut. As time went on, this became an increasing popular way of conducting business because people were able to easily enter markets and become a retail channel. Of course, with increased competition, the ability to find success in these types of ventures became very difficult. Thousands of sites per year flooded the internet in hopes of these easy riches. How can you blow past the competition and end up on the first page of hits that the search engine returns? The answer is simple, search engine optimization. The answer is easy, but there is quite a bit of work to do.

Not only have markets become flooded with competition creating the imperative need to optimize Websites, but also increased competition and search engine optimization is best implemented with a business marketing background. There are a few key areas of marketing that should be researched and understood before jumping into search engine optimization. These areas are very elementary in the business world and entail subjects like, how to create; business plans, marketing plans, marketing strategy, advertising campaigns, effective copywriting, and other basic skills. The importance of the marketing is to keep consumers feeling attracted to your site and products and urging them to purchase or subscribe to your goods and services. In addition, marketing also helps to keep the obvious signs of search engine optimization efforts down to a minimum conscious level. In other words, if you purely organize and design a site to appease search engines, then it will look bland, confusing, and distasteful for your selling purposes.

Article Marketing Success Tip - How To Write A Killer Resource Box

The whole point of article marketing is to establish yourself as an expert in your market niche as you want the reader to visit your web page. That is a given.

So, you work hard to write article, but if your resource box is poorly written. You will have a very very low click through rate. But that is no big deal because I am going to show you how to create an awesome resource box that will skyrocket your click through.

So the first thing you want to do is understand your market in niche. What is the underlying psychology that will drive the reader to visit your web page?

Let's take the dating niche for example. In your resource box you do not want to say "visit my webpage for more dating tips" because that is too general. But rather if you want to make it more specific and beneficial to the reader. Such as "I am a dating coach and I would like to invite you to my website where you can get a free five day mini-course on how to approach women"

That the more detailed and more benefit your resource box, the higher your click through rate. Sounds good in theory but in reality. You have to constantly track how good your click through rate is by installing a stat code into your web page (such as Google analytic)

Another tip is to write a short three to five page report in .PDF format and offer to give it away free to your readers in order to entice them to visit your webpage. This works very well because if the reader's interest in your article. He will naturally, visit your webpage, because of the awesome report.

So in order to have article marketing success you have to have a killer resource box that has a high click through rate, Otherwise you're a whole article marketing attempt this is just going to be one big flop.

Craigslist is Ghosting My Ads - Sensational Strategies for Avoiding the Ghost

It's never a huge surprise that when a new and innovative way comes around to make money online, eventually there will be a glut of unscrupulous people abusing the privilege. Essentially, this is what has happened on Craigslist, where having offered the vehicle by which people like you and I could advertise our offers to HUGE numbers of eyeballs for free...a huge influx of spammers has ruined the proverbial party by posting so often their fingers are probably bleeding from the effort.

And of course, to combat this, Craigslist has come up with a somewhat unique and annoyingly inconsistent way of reigning in the rotten apples. It is called "ghosting", and is the process by which your ad appears to have been accepted by the system, looks "live" within your admin account..yet, is nowhere to be found in the real time results. Can be a very frustrating experience without any question, and has led many craigslist posting fanatics to jump ship and find greener pastures to pick.

Here is a very easy way for you to avoid the "ghost" if you are getting it..:-) Now, I've written extensively about this in other places, and do only have limited space here, but the simplest thing you can do if your ads are being ghosted is this: Simply host your images somewhere that you see lots of other ads using for theirs. Not your own domain obviously...a public image repository is good for example. Link your CL ad to that image rather than pointing to your own domain. Then..using your image editing software, simply overlay your URL text into the image itself, thus negating the need for a live link, one of the prime triggers for Casper and friends to come by and say Boo!

Then...and this is a very well tested strategy by both myself and others, simply use a dial up connection when making your posts. One very well accepted cause of ghosting is multiple posts from the same IP - and simply logging in with a dial up modem, off and then on again for each set of new posts is a very simple, and effective way of negating that issue for me, and many others as well.

Of course there is more - but if you do the above, you WILL see your ghosting rates dropping fast, meaning more live ads, and more commissions for you! Good luck..:-)

Advanced Article Marketing Secrets - Learn The Fundamentals That Will Boost Your Profits Part 2

So by now you have come to the realization how important your list is. You understand the importance of first building a relationship with your subscribers so that you can sell to them later on and significantly improve your conversion rate.

Now let us look at the process of getting visitors to your website. You first need a compelling title. If it is boring then it is unlikely that people will actually read your article.

Subsequently I suggest that you write a 250 to 350 word article. The shorter articles do better for lead generation because the reader will see your resource box with a link to your website at the end and there is a bigger chance that they will click on it. I also suggest that you write in a relaxed conversational style like you are talking to a friend. You would only write in a long formal style if you were doing an essay for academic purposes.

Now this is where the important part where actual lead generation will take place. You need to create a squeeze page. This will consist of a headline with some bullet points. You need to offer a free report for download as an incentive for a visitor to give you their email address in exchange for a valuable report. You need to also add some html code to your web page to include the code that will submit the form with the email details to an autoresponder. I suggest that you use a professional one like Getresponse.

Finally, if you generate 5 to 10 leads every day you will build a stable business.

Identify Your Own Internet Business Opportunity

Faster computers and broadband internet have today changed the way many things are done in the world. The same applies to business opportunities. With internet, not only is it possible to search for new and exciting business roles but also to discover new ways to market your home business online. It is now possible for groups of people across the globe to put a business plan into action through efficient online systems of communication and interaction.

Using the internet to promote your business has many unique benefits. For example, the overhead is negligible if you are operating from a home based computer. Besides, you will have access to many business tools that big companies use, and most of such tools are free or inexpensive. In addition, you can enjoy various incentives that are available to those who officially start a home based business. Finally, a major incentive for people interested in internet business opportunities is to implement their own ideas and enjoy control over their own business, while enjoying a free life.

However, even though an internet business opportunity may sound as an easy and exciting way to earn or supplement your income, it is critical to stay focussed and dedicated to the business plan. For, if it drifts to being just a casual hobby, it may not reap the desired benefits.

To get started, it is essential to choose a business opportunity for which there already exists a demand online. Because it is easier to sell to people what they want than to sell a new product of which there is limited awareness. A good online business involves research into keyword popularity. There are certain key elements that should be in place before starting any new business - a simple website for your new business, a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting and a thorough business plan.

It may be a good idea to constitute a team to help accomplish your internet business plans. This can be a group of people who will brainstorm with you and give you feedback when required. You can organise a team either by interacting with people on online forums or through your own friends and professional associates who may also be interested in internet business opportunities.

As your business grows, you can even have professionals in specialised roles. For instance, you could hire writers, designers, lawyers, accountants and so on. These professionals can help you expand your home internet business with their expert services. Team work is crucial in later stages because there is often a danger of losing perspective in online businesses in the absence of regular monitoring and feedback.

While starting an online business, it is recommended to begin your new venture as an extra source of income, without quitting your regular job. This implies working on this new business in evenings or over weekends. The reason this is recommended is so that you can continue to enjoy your regular pay, and also give yourself time to catch up on the learning period of your new internet business, without stretching your budget. Also, you can reinvest your business income in the initial stages to help it expand further.

Finally, there are other types of internet opportunities that can help you make money without actually starting your own business. The internet is full of offers from thousands of websites that lure you to join them. Unfortunately, many of them may be identity thieves or scammers. However, if you do your homework properly, you may land yourself the ideal source of making money online.

For such opportunities, it is essential to protect your personal information. For this purpose, you can either find a professional you can trust or learn yourself about the various protections like firewalls and anti-virus software. It is also advisable to get an external hard drive to back up all your data.

Another possibility of earning income through internet is by making use of affiliate marketing and network programs. These new innovative online marketing techniques allow you to make money even when you are not online. Once you get started initially, you can get paid on the efforts of others further down the line, thus keeping your business awake twenty four hours a day.

So far we have seen the various ways of making money through different internet business opportunities. All it takes is a certain amount of will and perseverance to get started and stay focussed. The business principles of hard work, good marketing and networking remain the same as before. What has changed is the availability of fast speed internet which has expanded the potential reach of businesses and the availability of global markets - all of this without leaving the comfort zone of your home. All you need is to do is to identify your business and get going!

Article And Content Writing Made Simple

Article and Content Writing is the key to successful Internet Marketing. It takes some practice and it takes knowing a few simple rules. You want to locate the happy medium between pleasing the Search engines and pleasing your readers. This is as easy as talking to a good friend.

You want to start your writing by choosing your keyword or keyword phrase. You may choose 2 or 3 keywords or phrases for your article or web page content.

I like to use Keyword Phrases in all my Article and Content Writing. Word your keyword phase the way people would type it into the search engine when possible. Do not load your page with keywords or keyword phrases.

Only place your keyword phrases in 3 or 4 places within the text. If writing content for your website place the keywords in the URL. Also use the keyword phrase in the title of the page or article.

Place your keyword phrase within the first 90 characters of your writing. Place your keyword phrase once or twice in the main body of the article and then again at the very end of the article.

Do not make your content too short. It actually is possible to make copy too short for search engines. Make your page no less than 250 words. I prefer 400 to 600 words.

Do not try to sound overly intelligent. It is not rocket science to write website content, so do not make it sound like rocket science.

You actually want to write around a 6th grade level for most topics. Choose the grade level based on the topic. Obviously you need to write at a different level if your site is about Medical Procedures than you would if you were writing about Candle Making.

Please! Use your spell checker and re-read your article 3 or 4 times. Look for words that are spelled correctly but are not spelled correctly for what you are saying, these are easy to miss. Example The for of us went shopping The spell checker will not catch this and since you know what you meant you might over look it.

How do you know if you have written good search engine friendly content. It will make sense when you read it. If you write just to put a keyword phrase in the content the sentence will not make sense when it is read or it will be hard to read.

Search engine optimized writing is not difficult and getting search engine rankings does not need to destroy your article. Place well chosen keyword phrases into the article and you will be well on your way to successful Article and Content writing

Advertising Strategies for Fixed Operations Managers - Growing New Car Sales

Automotive sales are in a slump, and no one understands this better than employees of automotive dealerships. And while new car sales may be on the decline, the pressure to boost sales and revenues remains an integral part of the automotive industry.

But selling new and used cars during a consumer drought can be increasingly difficult, especially given the level of competition that exists in the automotive industry. Dealerships compete viciously for customers by offering special pricing deals, low-financing guarantees and other sales tactics, bombarding consumers with radio, television, and print ads in an attempt to beat out their competitors. Not surprisingly, many potential customers have begun to tune out traditional automotive advertisements, turning instead to their friends or mechanics for advice when the time comes to buy a new car.

And therein lies the key to driving new automotive sales: increasing business through the dealerships fixed operations departments.

It works like this. Consumers who know and trust the mechanics in a dealerships fixed operations will be more likely to purchase a new vehicle from the sales department of that same dealership. As opposed to competing directly for new sales, smart dealerships should compete indirectly by building business in their fixed ops departmentsbusiness that will lead to additional vehicle sales in the future.

And how should you go about building fixed operations revenue? Easy. Institute marketing strategies aimed at new movers by giving them a reason to try your services and encouraging them to return.

Fishing for New Movers

New movers are individuals and families who have recently moved to a new location, most likely after experiencing a lifestyle change (such as a new marriage, divorce, or employment opportunity). New movers typically arrive in their new homes with an open mind, ready to establish new routines and to try out new services offered in their communities. In fact, recent research has found that 62% of new movers buy a new car within the first year after their relocation.

This open-minded mentality, and their relative unfamiliarity with their new surroundings, makes new movers the perfect target for a well-planned strategic marketing plan. So how can your business effectively target these new movers? Easythrough a tailored direct marketing campaign. Heres how to do it:

Every time an individual or family relocates to your town, make sure they receive a gift certificate in their mailbox offering free services from your business. Not discounted services, not a buy-one-get-one free offer, but a certificate valid for the amount of your businesss most popular servicelets say a routine oil change. Include a letter with the gift certificate that welcomes the new resident to your community and outlines your dealership, automotive services, and location.

Why give away $20-30 worth of services when you could just as easily have offered a substantial discount on your businesss oil change service? Simple. Customers understand and appreciate the word free. Almost everyone offers discounted services at one time or another, but when was the last time you received a $20 or $30 gift certificate in the mail from your local automotive dealership? Cant remember? Exactly.

The point is that irresistible offers get the maximum rate of response. Make a powerful impression, and you will draw the customer to your store. After all, new movers are anxious to establish new routines with local businesses. By making an attractive service offer, your business immediately becomes a prime candidate for the persons future business.

One caveat, however. You must ensure that every time a customer presents a new mover gift certificate, that person is treated with the highest level of courtesy, customer service, and professionalism. If you treat new movers well on their first visit, chances are they will return to your business again and again.

Giving Your Customers another Reason to Return

So there you have it, right? Youve attracted new movers with your new mover gift certificates, youve wowed them when they arrived to redeem them, and now all you have to do is sit back and wait for them to return. Unfortunately theres a bit more to the task.

Although your new mover offer has certainly gone a long way, it will not guarantee you a steady stream of loyal customers. New movers may like your services, but they may not automatically make your business a part of their everyday routine. Therefore, you must give them a reason to return.

Remember when your new mover arrived to redeem your gift certificate? With any luck, the customer left happy and impressed, probably making a mental note to return to your dealership the next time service was needed. But what if, instead of waiting passively for the persons return, you could speed up the process with yet another attractive offer? Heres how.

Before your new mover leaves after redeeming the gift certificate, ask for an email address that will enable you to offer future promotions of the type just rendered. By collecting the emails of your new customers, you are building an electronic database of information allowing you to speak directly to people who already know, use and appreciate your business.

Lets say youre having a slow week (maybe even a slow month). Maybe its around the holidays and your customers have their minds on other things beside routine auto service. Now think proactively. Instead of waiting for people to come to you, why not draw in those customers who have used your services before, using the same tactics you used when they were new movers?

Remember those email addresses youve been collecting? It is time to put them to good use. Decide on a special offersay, 50% off a tire rotation and alignment service package. Compose a brief email to your customers outlining this discount, and explain that it is only available for the remainder of the week. Hit the send button and then wait.

Your customers will receive that email, remember the positive experience they had last time they stopped by your business, and drop by for the special offer. If they doand if you impress them with your friendliness and quality service once againthey will have yet another reason to visit you in the future. Youve turned a slow week into a profitable one, just by going back to customers who have already used and enjoyed your service!

Thats smart business. Even more, its a strong step towards expanding your customer base, forging positive relationships with customers, and ultimately turning positive customer relationships into new car sales.

Online Small Businesses and Your Integrity Level

Often we see folks writing articles and putting them online in order to attract clientele to their websites to buy something, yet many times these authors of articles use pen names. When someone uses a pen name, and I contact that person to do business later on and find out their real name, this to me also tells me they are not really experts or they are hiding something.

I think if you are promoting a product or service on the Internet not only should you put your name in the Resource Box or after the article, but also use your Real Name, if not is seems like a deceptive "Shrill" tactic and is borderline "Fraud" and definitely BUZZ Marketing questionable tactics. Indeed, I deplore dishonesty on the web and I believe not using your real name, is dishonest and deceptive, whether it is in a forum, blog or on an online article, especially if your article is trying to sell something or get someone to come to your website to sell them something.

I have no respect for those people who put fake names and use deception tactics in marketing, I think you ought to be put in jail. Nothing urks me more, actually and it is deplorable that there is not more integrity online. I am in fact shocked that more people do not agree with me and lack the personal character and integrity to stand by their words and on the moral high-ground. It is a real statement about the person in my opinion.

Article Marketing Secrets - How To Write An Ebook Every Single Week With Your Articles?

If you wrote and submitted more than ten articles, then you have what it takes to write a short ebook on your topic and offer it to your list. All you need to do is to download the free open office suite and write in their word processor tool called writer.

With open office, you can create your own pdf for free.

Then, you need to quickly create an outline for your articles and this shouldn't take you more than thirty minutes. It's good to work with a timer to boost your productivity and avoid procrastination.

Here is how to do it step by step. Do not over complicate the process.

1. Open your old articles and add them in a text file.

2. Read all your articles and think about an outline for your book

3. Write the main subject of your ebook on a piece of paper.

4. Under this subject, write other sub-topics

5. Under each topic, quickly add some bullet points

Warning: at this point, a lot of ideas will come through your head, but don't get distracted. Write down these ideas for later.

6. Now that you have your outline which is basically your table of content, take the paragraphs from your articles and add them in the blank, add some "flow" sentences, and your ebook is almost ready.

This report will integrate perfectly into your article marketing strategy because you will link to it via your resource box.

This is a relatively simple way to create short report every single month. When you have several reports, you can write a full book that you sell at Amazon.

What do you think about this plan? I wrote several ebooks using this method. Some are free and some of them or paid ebooks. It's another way to profit from your articles.

Make Article Marketing Work for You

Article marketing is possibly one of the most effective, free methods of advertising your online business available. What could be easier than writing a few articles, adding them to a free directory and sitting back to watch the traffic roll in? Unfortunately, it is not quite that simple. In fact, you will need some strategies if you plan to actually make your articles work for you. This article covers several methods to take full advantage of article marketing for your business.

First of all, the kind of article that you write determines the majority of your success. If you turn out a 2,000 word essay on your niche, it is very unlikely that anyone will pick it up. Likewise, a 250 word piece of fluff wont be going anywhere either! In order to be effective, the perfect promotional article needs to be around 400-600 words long, the preferred length by webmasters and ezine publishers alike.

Your article should offer good information. After all, if you just blather on about nothing in particular, why would anyone want to buy your product or visit your website? On the other hand, if you give solid tips and leave them drooling for more, you will end up with a lot more visitors to your site!

The next thing to consider is your resource box. Most resource boxes are boring and no one even bothers to read them, let alone click on the links contained within it. The trick is to make your resource box grab your reader by the throat and make him desperate to learn more! For example, instead of writing, John Doe is an affiliate guru who lives in California. For more affiliate info, check out his website . . . . Why not put something like If you arent earning $100 a day, you are missing out! Get what you deserve at www. . . . . See how much more interesting the second one was?

Once you have a great article and a catchy resource box, what do you do? Submit to every directory you can find, right? Wrong. The best way to get your articles noticed is not to submit them to any directory at all. In fact, you will be far better off aiming for specific websites and ezines. Choose one or two websites that are most likely to publish your article and approach them directly. Let them know that you have an exclusive article for them that you will allow to be published free, as long as they include the resource box.

Highly targeted markets can be far better for bringing in traffic than random ones who pick up your article in a directory. This is because your article will be in front of thousands of people who are actually interested in your content. Also, if the article goes out in an ezine, people will respect it as a recommendation from the list owner and are more likely to click on your link.

By following these tips, you can boost the effectiveness of your article marketing drastically. It is worth taking the time to write a high quality article, add a great resource box and then market it to specifically targeted websites. Success is only a matter time!
