Business Marketing Online: Secrets of Internet Millionaire Webmasters

One mistake that most website owners and businesses are currently making is that they depend on their traffic to come from search engines alone.

Some are even squandering hundreds of thousands of dollars monthly doing (Pay per click) PPC campaign.

This is fatal.

It is impossible for all websites to rank at #1 or among the top 10 all at once in any search engine.

So, once businesses realize this obvious fact, it should be common sense for them to know that the solution should be to diversify their marketing and promotion.

Stop depending on the uncertain search engine traffic otherwise youll go bankrupt soon.

You need to do different kinds of marketing and promotions both online and offline.

Some of them are newspaper and magazine advertising, TV, cable and radio advertising, direct mailing promotion, text-link campaign, link exchange campaign, events sponsorship promotion, press release, article promotions.

When you do all these promotions, you get a lot of exposures, traffic from many sources and will not be forced anymore to depend on search engines traffic and rankings alone.

I have also noticed that most businesses are still using the old tactics of copywriting that worked during pre-internet era.

Perhaps that is why many of them have problems in making their websites profitable.

In these internet times, a website content has to be short, direct, interesting and must have a unique selling proposition to be effective and to convert visitors to buyers.

Many people just dont have the time to spend all day reading the content of one website when they are aware there are thousands and millions more they may have to read before they make up their minds to buy.

I see many website contents which are professionally written, organized and designed.

But all have one common mistake. They forget this fact that I am pointing out:

They are way too long, too desperate in their sales pitches, hype and most of them will not even allow you to read more than one word before their subscription pop-up forms come up and block the websites.

What a very rude and annoying way to welcome a prospect to your website.

In other words, they do so much to repel the customers, instead of doing so much to attract them.

May these insights into website promotion, work at home business income program, online income opportunity, website marketing, work from home business, affiliate programs, internet promotion help you improve your online marketing so as to achieve more success and happiness.

Productive Link Popularity - 6 Things to Avoid in Order to Increase Link Popularity

In the world of online industry, the impact that links can bring onto a site is very high and crucial. It is the desire of any webmaster to attain the website popularity order to attract more links to get associated with it. In order to do that, there are things that you would not want to do to increase your link popularity. Below are some of these:

1. Never use any unoriginal and copied contents to build link popularity on your site. The mere fact that your intention to use these copied materials is to gain popularity at the expense of other people's ingenuity; your site is considered unpopular. Always maintain a high integrity of providing an all original and 100% plagiarism-free contents.

2. Do not attempt to obtain popularity through spamming. Some webmasters are posting their website's URL to forums even though they don't have anything important to share. Their main objective? Get as much link as possible. This is considered spamming and is subject to penalties like account suspension.

3. Do not goad people by making a false promise of generating more money just by clicking or making a visit on your site or opening the e-mail and clicking the links on the e-mail. This is a clear indication of shamming.

4. Do not in any way threat or promote fraudulent activity on your articles or newsletter just so you can gain extra mileage or exposure.

5. Never indulge into using "trash" links just so you can show to other sites that you have many links on your site. These trash links are clear indication of misleading other sites who have better intentions than promote fraudulence and malicious activities online.

6. Never engage on false promises that other directory sites are giving to sites which aspire for better and more link popularity. This is just going to be a waste of money and effort on your end.

How To Make Money Online By Knowing What You Are Worth

Salespeople are not paid for their ability to cold call. Anyone can pick up a phone, dial a random number and be told, "No." Salespeople are paid for their knowledge about how to turn that "no" into a "yes."

Expert witnesses get called in by lawyers because of what they know not because they can see the tire tracks in the mud. They understand what those tire tracks mean.

Everyone in a professional setting is paid for what they know and not what they do. You can do the same while you make money online. You are entitled to be compensated appropriately. The first thing you need to know when you want to do this is how to determine your worth. What are people getting paid and why are they getting paid that? Once you know the value of your knowledge then you can get "make money online."

Maybe you are worried that what you know is only worth $5.00 at the most. $5.00 does not seem like a lot of money nor does it even seem worth it. When looking at the bigger picture, however, it is much more appealing. 75% of Americans have access to the internet. If 1,000 people pay you $5.00 then you have made $5,000! If 10,000 people pay you $5.00 then you have made $50,000! And you can make that money online. All you have to do is know what you are worth.

Learning How to Make Money Online with Your Skills

We all have talents. Most people do not know the value of the wealth of information they hold in their minds. Do you have a knack for words? Are you really good with needlepoint? Are you a good craftsman or fly fisherman? Perhaps you are a hunter and you know the ins and outs of skinning game or tanning hides. All of those can be marketable skills. All of those can help you make money online.

There is nothing wrong or shameful about asking to be compensated for your knowledge. It took you time, effort and probably money to learn what you know and you have the right to ask to be compensated. Just because you want to make money online does not mean your services are less valuable than anyone else's services.

When we really think about it, don't we pay all professionals for what they know? Are administrative assistants paid for their ability to pick up a phone handset? No. They are paid for their ability to juggle twelve different tasks and make sure their boss knows the dry cleaning is picked up and Mr. Jones is the client who is allergic to peanuts. They are paid for what they know and how well they know it.

Making Money Online is not easy but if your taught correctly, a six to seven figure income is highly attainable.

Profitable List Building - The Automated List Building System Revealed

What constitutes the automated list building system? Basically, it is a system that generates income by gathering subscribers into an email list. This system usually involves a webpage that doesn't sell to visitors, but offers a free subscription to a newsletter or ecourse.

Why is this so? Why must you offer something free on your webpage?

It allows relationship building to happen. Instead of hitting the visitor with a sales page the first time a visitor enters the website, it offers something of value for free. This allows relationship building to take place, and the law of reciprocity comes into effect. Subscribers start to give back to you.

Think about it, we usually buy things from people we like to some degree. If we want to buy groceries, we usually buy it from a place that gave us a pleasant experience the last time around.

Your task is to become someone that your subscribers like; that's the only way to get them to buy your products. It is a tried and tested way.

Some ways to build a relationship with your list include giving free gifts from time to time (pdf reports, free newsletters, free cd's), offering valuable free information and posting on a blog. All those are proven approaches to building a relationship with your list. It's what good newsletter publishers do day after day.

So before you build a list, make certain that you will treat them well and build a relationship with them. And you're guaranteed to build a profitable list building system that brings you income.

Authors and Authorities - How Can the Reader Know?

In the online article authoring world there are many different types of folks who write articles and although most of them write in order to use informational marketing to attract customers on the Internet to partake in their goods or services, the total number of reasons that people write articles is truly astounding.

Indeed, I think that anyone who makes this connection is correct in considering that authors write on different subjects for different reason and their points about the author being an expert in one or more fields but not in others also makes sense. For instance for me, I have expertise in Franchising, Small Business, Marketing, Branding, Car Washing, Trucking, Aviation, Technology, Sports Competition, Winning, Philosophy, Humanities, Politics, Economics, Innovation and various related fields. But I write about all sorts of stuff and I would say that those areas I am not so good at, it is a challenge to write a strong article, I am happy with and thus I would not obviously be any kind of expert in those areas.

Many authors believe and I concur that an author can be an expert in some domains, but not all. But how would the reader know this? Should a panel be set up at the top online article submission sites to grade author status as experts? Well, if that is feasible considering the resources involved to look over the articles and considering the "primate politics of panels" then this would solve a problem.

On one of the top online article submission sites, I noticed that there are only 3 pages of authors who have over 100 articles, then starting with only those authors of over 100 articles, it could be done fairly easy. A panel could look at those authors to find out if they were truly experts in various subjects and when they submitted articles to those categories they might be accompanied by a star?

There is a company called "Topix" which has local panels rating news, all volunteers even, and it works fine. If there were only 300 authors to rate, this is easily feasible and eventually maybe it could be taken down to 75 or 50 articles and thus someone to get to the rating system level would have to pony up and write some articles, thus also stretching them to prove they could perform and "SHOW ME" type proof of expert status.

Also remember that the author could submit which categories they feel most qualified in and the group could choose these categories based on their accomplishments in the real world and then "+" their articles? I am a firm believer in real world experience and doing over merely someone who is a "great writer" and can spin a phrase.

Automatic Link Exchange Factors

Automatic link exchange is the method of links being instantaneously switched over with other Internet websites. There are assorted ways of arranging an automatic link exchange with webmasters. The quickest and most effective way to forward emails to another website owner is to perform an automatic link exchange. Many computer users visit webmaster discussion boards which offer a specific automatic link exchange forum where different webmasters can actually request an instantaneous link exchange, whether its a particular category or even open to the public. The control panel edits and deletes the links automatically. Automatic link exchange detects the various links that do not respond and you can immediately notify the website owners or simply delete the links with one click.

Automatic link exchange directories are used frequently by several webmasters to attempt and build up their link popularity generally by searching for other proficient webmasters listed in the directory who are looking for link trades. The majority of these automatic link exchange directories charge a nominal fee for the access to the webmaster directory or even the database. However, one can find many free link exchange directories on the Internet. Often at times extremely useful, the automatic link exchange is viable. However, its wise to be cautious with whom you trade the links. Getting in the habit of trading with the wrong site can have a horrific impact on your own Internet website. The safest bet is to maintain a specific and secured linking method where you neither accept links from certain non-related Internet websites nor even post links to these non-related Internet websites.

Discovering websites via the automatic link exchange that resemble your own Internet website may be quite difficult. However, its important to note that the end result is usually at best when simply linking to a multitude of websites that arent in your particular industry whatsoever. In other words, with the automatic link exchange, its much more achievable to find ten links from Internet websites that are similar to your own than finding plenty of links from Internet websites that are foreign to your demographics, interests and target market.

There are a host of considerations with the automatic link exchange. Its important to note that search engines look at the Internet websites that links to you and alludes to a particular theme for your own website. This is based on your own Internet website content as well as an assortment of content from the websites linking to your own. Various undiscovered and secret methods that the search engines use that are improbable to understand completely may not actually help with your specific cause in the automatic link exchange. Therefore, its not necessary to learn them.

The Advantage Of Backlinks From .edu Sites

At present, a lot of Web users are in a rush to get some .EDU backlinks. Now, why are they in a rush to acquire this stuff? It's simple.

Since websites ending in .EDU are considered trusted sites by Google, they are generally credible, and often webmasters think that a link from an .EDU page with PageRank is more valuable than a link from another page with the same PageRank.

.EDU Backlinks Carry Greater Search Engine Weight

Today, it is generally accepted that .edu and .gov backlinks carry a larger weight for search engine algorithms. Despite the fact that search engine giant Google has never admitted it, most SEO and online marketing analysts confirm that .edu and .gov links outperform other extensions in terms of search ranking and leverage. There are several ways to collect those links, and they usually depend on whether your blog or site has content that is relevant to educational and governmental websites or not.

How Would I Be Able To Get A .edu Backlink?

The first step in acquiring a .edu or .gov backlink that points to your website, is to locate sites related to your topic ending with those extensions. One way would be to use the Google operator site:.edu, and site:.gov combined with the keywords of your blog.

This should enable you to find an extensive list of such sites. Once you have a list of sites, try exploring them and select the ones you think would have a higher probability of sharing some external links with your blog. Lastly, contact the webmaster of those sites and point them to the content on your blog that could be relevant and valuable to those sites. It is always a good idea to link first to the sites before requesting the backlink.

Look For Sites or Blogs That Have Similar Content To Your Site

By using the Google operator site:.edu,site:.gov and the keywords of your blog, you should be able to locate an extensive list of sites related to your keyword. Those operators would filter and show you only sites from .EDU or .GOV domains related to your keyword. An example would be, typing these in google: site:.edu "keyword",

or site:.gov "keyword". Remember to notify the webmaster and tell them about your blog, link to them first and then ask for permission to get linked on theirs.

Look For .EDU Blogs or Forums

In searching for .edu blogs, you could also use the Google operators too. With the following operators typed in Google, you could limit the Google search to blogs or forums with the .edu extension related to your keyword.

Ex: site:.edu inurl:blog "keyword"

Once you're in, do your best to participate in the forums and discussions. And it's important that you don't SPAM, since this would be highly unethical. Then after, you may leave your link there.

Aside from the methods mentioned earlier, there are also other ways to get a link to your site from an .EDU website. One good example would be to design or sponsor a theme for a blogging engine, and hope that an .EDU page will use it, which happens sometimes.

Affiliate Marketing - AKA Bum Marketing Profits

The first thing you need to consider when you enter affiliate marketing is to decide what niche you want to enter. It is too easy to go to Clickbank and find a few books that you can promote. The first problem is that many people are also promoting them, and if you dont put some consideration into your advertising campaign you would soon be disappointed when you make no money.

Think about this carefully, if you are new to affiliate marketing and your site isnt known, how are you going to draw people in to buy your product or click on your promotion?

Unless you have a plan of what you are going to do then you will be spending many hours writing ads, and paying for PPC to find little return.

The best way to profit from affiliate marketing is to find a product that fits your niche, and then write articles, to promote the product.

There are many places where you can find products, which are looking for people to promote them. Too many people starting only consider promoting ebooks, but there are vast selections of products and companies for you to get involved with.

Look at it for a moment, from the point of the buyer. They might be totally new to the world of the web, and have heard many horror stories. They might not want to pass their credit card details over to a person they dont know. But there are hundreds of companies they know and respect. They have used them offline for many, many years, and they find they can now buy from them online.

These might be lower commission than some ebooks, but if you sell more, then you could be making more. It may take longer to sell a book that has 75% commission compared to a product that only gives 15% but you could sell more of them each day.

Not everybody wants to learn how to make money, but there are many things people need and will buy online. If you want to make money with affiliate marketing then you will be able to as long as you chose the right products.

Everyone is going to offer handheld mobile computing devices.

With the new technologies coming fast with Mobile Computing one has to wonder if online article submission websites should make their articles available to mobile users? Perhaps building mirrored sites especially for mobile users so they can surf the new articles available?

Should such services to web surfers be made feasible by having very simple low byte screens at the cell phone user level. They should be able to search categories and then articles by title and you should have listed the top articles and newest articles, with scaled down graphics for very fast loading. If the user can surf easily an online article submission site very fast, they will, wouldn't you?

Indeed article marketing on the go is just what mobile computing is ready for. Information, when you need it, when you want it and where ever you are. The World is changing and Google, iPhone, Palm, Blackberry and AT&T Video Phone are all vying for the mobile computer user and that means lots of advertising, capital money flows and a massive number of mobile computing handsets will soon be out in public cruising around while surfing for information.

Advanced Linking Strategies Revealed That Will Explode Your Search Engine Traffic

Linking on the internet for any website is of primary importance. The main reason for this is that search engines value the importance of search engine rankings by the amount of websites that link to your website.

If you have very few websites linking to you then you probably will not have very good search engine rankings. In this article I would like to go through some things that you can do to improve your search engine rankings. The most important part is that you need to build a high quality website. If other webmasters see it they will want to link to it because you have very useful content on the site.

You can start off by submitting to quality directories like Yahoo and Open Directory. Google has admitted that links from these will improve your ranking as these are trusted websites. After this you can submit to other second tier directories like Gimpsy.

Post frequently to forums including a link to your website with your signature. Write articles and submit them to the major article directories including a link to your site in your resource box. These will become viral in nature as other publishers publish your articles increasing your link popularity.

Finally, you can use link baiting to take advantage of web 2 traffic. This could be writing controversial articles with a killer headline and submitting it to story sites like Digg. If it generates enough interest it may just make it to front page generating lots of traffic and links to your website.

"How To Write Effective And Unique Articles That Are Optimized for the Search Engines"

It is a well known fact that writing, distributing and posting articles to various location on the web is an extremely effective way to generate targeted traffic and establish yourself as an experienced marketer in your field. Unique articles that help solve the reader's problems, assists the reader in advancing their marketing acumen, or otherwise generally inform tend to stay posted on many web sites throughout the Internet and usually generate targeted traffic for the writer.

In order to further maximize the benefits of writing and posting unique articles, it makes good business sense to optimize the articles so the search engines list the URL's associated with those articles on search engine results pages (SERP's). Ideally, you'd like to see your article URL on the 1st page of the SERP's so you can capitalize on the free and targeted traffic from these listings.

So, what type of strategy can be utilized to optimize your articles for the search engines?

There's quite a few different ways but here are some tactics that you may want to use:

Article optimization tactic 1: Choose keywords that complement your USP and name your article page accordingly.

When choosing keywords that will be the central theme of your article, it is necessary to define what your article will be about, who the information in the article will benefit, and how it will tie into your USP before choosing your keywords. After you've thought through this, then come up with a list of keywords that will be suitable as the central them of the article.

Next, decide which keywords you will center your article around based on the number of searches that keyword gets per day and by assessing how much competition there is for that keyword phrase. Once you have chosen your keyword phrase for the article, name your page.

Example: If 'green widgets' is the keyword you wish to base your article on, you may want to name your web page 'greenwdgets.htm' or 'greenwdgets.html' or 'greenwdgets.shtml'.

Article optimization tactic 2: Utilize keyword in the title tag. Utilize your keywords that you've chosen for your article in the title tag of the web page.

Example: Green Widgets | The best green widgets available

Article optimization tactic 3: Utilize keyword in headline tags. Using keywords in headline tags will increase rankings of your web pages.

Ideally you would use the keywords as the headline, but usually this doesn't look natural.

Keep the h tags before and after the entire headline.

Example:

Green widgets: We have the most affordable and powerful green widget available anywhere, guaranteed!

Article optimization tactic 4: Utilize keywords in the 1st sentence of the initial paragraph.

This an easily be accomplished and still make the paragraph read well and in a natural sounding tone if read back. Remember that you want your reader to feel like they are being talked with not "at" and you want your reader to not realize that your placement of your keyword phrases might be planned.

Article optimization tactic 5: Utilize keywords in text with appropriate keyword density. After you write your article, you can easily edit to try to obtain the best keyword density for the search engines you'd like to target.

Google's optimum keyword density is between 1.5% to 2.5% keyword density at the time of this writing.

Once you have the article written you can use GoRank's keyword optimization tool (http://www.gorank.com/seotools/) to check what the keyword density is of the text of the article so you can edit accordingly.

Remember, you don't want to 'stuff' the page with your chosen and targeted keyword phrase but you do want to make sure that you utilize your keywords when you can up to the required amount for the desired keyword density.

Article optimization tactic 6: Bold or italicize keywords in text. When bolding and italicizing your keywords in your articles, it isn't necessary to bold and/or italicize every keyword phrase. When the reader comes across bolded and italicized words they add emphasis to the text at the time they read those words. So you should use your best judgment as to what looks right and 'reads' right when you edit your article.

One key item to remember to write naturally so you get your message across in a human manner.

You want the reader to click to your link at the end or in the body of the article and the more human and conversational your article comes across, the more likely that the reader will travel to the URL you'd like them to see. Some marketers write their articles without search engine optimization in mind and then go back and edit them for the search engines.

After your article is optimized, do all you can to get it posted to other web sites so the number of relevant links pointing to that article is heightened. If you get your article posted to some of the heavier web sites that post articles and have the correct categories where your article will fit, the faster your article URL will get indexed by the search engines.

Strategies - To Help You Acquire First Page Ranking On All Major Search Engines

There are hundreds, of 'so called experts', who charge hundreds and thousands of pounds to get you a top ranking on the first page of search engines.

Why is this? Is it because search engines use algorithms or codex's to rank what they consider to be good or bad sites, or is it because there's a lot of money to be made out of this mysterious and complex subject?

You can get your websites placed within the first page of all major search engines, such as Google and Yahoo and don't have to pay any specialist submission company to get them there either.

Using a very simple procedure of coordinating and linking a group of Blogs and article submissions to your websites. and then submitting the site to the major search engines, which find these articles linked back to your websites, will get you highly listed, as long as they like the content.

This is not rocket science; it's a simple matter of knowing the process to adhere too.

Having a high ranking in relation to search terms, means two things...

1/ It's Free; you don't have to pay AdSense for advertising.
2/ You get targeted traffic, at no cost.

OK, it takes a bit of time once or twice a week, half an hour, or there abouts, but it can save literally thousands of Dollars over the years.

I hope this little article has cleared some of the smog out of your eyes and made you realise that good things don't always have to cost you the earth, with a little effort and thought on your part you could do the same.

Good Luck.

Viral Marketing - 3 Reasons Your Free Report Hasn't Gone Viral

For those of you unfamiliar with viral marketing, the concept is simple. Produce something that can be passed easily from one person to another and then encourage them to do so. This can be a free report, audio, video or anything else that can be passed along easily. If all goes well, people start passing your message around. He tells two friends, she tells two friends, they tell two friends kind of thing. As you can see, if your virus catches on, you'll be able to get your message in front of exponentially more people than you could ever do by yourself.

To keep things simple, I'm going to focus on viral reports as the medium of the virus. They have been around for a long time, and are the easiest to develop. But just because they've been around a while, doesn't mean everyone knows how to create a free report that gets spread around like a virus. Later in this article I'm going to go over 3 big reasons free reports fail to become viral.

But first...

I want to make sure you understand WHY viral marketing is so powerful. It might not be immediately understood why getting your message spread around like a virus is so important. In simple terms, it is because it can bring more traffic to your website, can get more people to subscribe to your email list and produce more sales for your products or affiliate recommendations.

So, this is big: don't produce a report that you want to go viral without a link back to your website, a link to promote your list and links to your products or affiliate recommendations. I know this might be obvious, but if you do get a report to go viral, you want to make sure it works to improve your business. The last thing you want si to get a report spreading all over the web that doesn't do anything to bring more traffic, get more subscribers or put more money in your pocket.

And while I'm talking of the obvious... make sure you let them know they can pass it along! You don't want them wondering if it's alright to pass it along. You want them to act.

OK, what are the 3 biggest reasons reports don't go viral?

Reason 1: Wrong Topic. In order for a report to be spread around, it must be something MANY people want to know about. Forget about "niches" for viral reports. You want a BIG, HUNGRY market looking for information. The topic must apply to a lot of people... or else why would someone send it along to their friends?

Once you have your HOT topic in a big market, make sure the title grabs the attention of the market. You need to immediately convey this is something they MUST read.

Reason 2: Poor Quality. Ok, you got your hot topic and get people to download and read your report. The information inside MUST be of high-quality. Yes, this is a free report and shouldn't be expected to give away everything, but it still must be of value all by itself. If it isn't, why would anyone want to pass it along?

So, make sure your free report is "valuable" as a stand-alone report.

Reason 3: No Backup. Even if you create a high-quality report on a HOT topic in a crowded, hungry market... it doesn't mean the report will go viral. Why? Simply, because people are lazy and need a GOOD REASON to take the time to send the report along.

One of the best reasons I can think of to get people to pass along your report is to let them brand the report with their affiliate links. Then they'll pass the report along because the more exposure the report gets, the more likely they are to make money.

But if you really want to get the report spreading like a virus, you should go one step further and provide guidance and resources to help people promote the report. Don't just say, "Send out an email". Give them a email they can cut-and-paste. Give them report graphics. Give them articles. Give them everything they need to make spreading the report as easy and as profitable as possible.

Then you'll have a highly successful viral marketing campaign that spreads quickly.
